Culture And Diversity In Health Care

In this new travel course, offered during the spring semester of junior year, transcultural nursing, spirituality and lifestyles are explored, and their impact on health care services are analyzed. The use of music, art, literature and healing/touch modalities that enhance caregiving will be studied. Travel is not a mandatory component of the nursing program. This travel course for nurses has traditionally been to Italy, but nursing students may also take advantage of many other opportunities to travel abroad through Emmanuel’s courses in such places as Ireland, Paris, Spain, South Africa, India and more.
