Cheesesteak Basket the smallest birds seen in Pennsylvania, “Hummingbirds.” Topics will include their adaptations, behaviors, and also how to draw them to your feeder or garden. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. Program may be modified or cancelled in the event of severe weather or new community guidelines. Meet at the park office.

“PA’s Oldest Forests”

What: Join the park naturalist to learn about topics about “PA’s Oldest Forests” such as the history that many of these forests went through and some of the threats old growth forests face today. A movie will be shown. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. Program may be modified or cancelled in the event of severe weather or new community guidelines. Meet at the amphitheater (by the pool). Please bring a lawn chair.

Bird Walk with Doug Gross

What: Doug Gross, retired PA Game Commission biologist and eBird coordinator, will guide us on a bird walk in the woods and shrub lands of Ricketts Glen State Park.
