About Us Dr (Lt Col retd) Shishir Kumar (MBBS, MS, MCh, D Ortho, MCh) is a Graduate and Post Graduate from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, one of the premier institutions in India. Dr Shishir has had 24 years of commissioned service in the Indian Army, twenty of them as a surgeon. He was instrumental in introducing ‘Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery’ into the Armed Forces and was the only surgeon carrying out ‘Scoliosis’ and ‘Advanced Deformity Correction Surgery’ in the Army. He has had more than 13 years experience in Spine Surgery and headed the largest ‘Spinal Cord Injury Center in Asia at Military Hospital Kirkee Pune. His aim is to bring ‘Safe Spine Surgery’ at the doorstep of the common man. Dr. Shishir is currently heading the Deptt of Spine Surgery at Metro Hospital, Delhi and Noida.
