INTRODUCTION What is the Pacific Island Development Forum The Pacific Island Development Forum (PIDF) is a unique high-level participatory platform bringing together leaders from the public and private sectors & civil society in the Pacific to address regional development challenges, through mutually beneficial innovative partnerships. It is a space for catalyzing, mobilizing and mainstreaming action in support of sustainable development through a green economy in Pacific Island Countries. The PIDF was approved by Leaders of the Pacific meeting under the banner of “Engaging with the Pacific”, in Nadi, Fiji in August 2012. The inaugural Meeting of the PIDF will take place at the Sheraton Fiji Resort, Denarau, Nadi, FIJI (http://www.starwoodhotels.com/) from 5-7 August 2013. The theme for the meeting will be, “Leadership, Innovation & Partnership for Green/Blue Pacific Economies.” The meeting will comprise a Summit of Leaders and a Pavilion Display exhibiting green products, technology and processes.

The PIDF ‘Green Economy Expo’ is for products and services that support the promotion of Green Economy in the Pacific. Registration is now open for companies to take part in this inaugural event through exhibiting of their products and services at the Green Economy Expo in the Display Pavilion.

Why Exhibit at PIDF? The PIDF Conference and Green Economy Expo in the Display Pavilion is the only event and venue where you will have the opportunity to network with Pacific Island government, business and civil society leaders. You will reach key influencers, business leaders and innovators by participating, exhibiting and displaying in the Expo at the Inaugural PIDF Meeting. Over 200 participants from more than 22 countries are expected to attend the Inaugural Meeting. Additionally there will be business and public sector leaders in attendance from the following areas; agriculture, banking, communications, disaster reduction & response, energy, financial services, fisheries, forestry, health, human resources, manufacturing, mining, tourism and transport. Local schools and tertiary institutions have also been invited to visit the Green Economy Expo at the Display Pavilion during opening hours.
