Comodo Secure Box Management Condole - User Guide

1.Comodo Secure Box – Introduction Comodo SecureBox (CSB) protects applications by isolating them inside a heavily-protected, fully functioning container within an endpoint operating system. Unlike a traditional sandbox which is used to house potentially hostile files, SecureBox protects the application itself and treats all outside processes as hostile. By isolating critical applications from other running processes, Comodo SecureBox prevents data exfiltration, remote takeover, keylogging, SSL sniffing, memory scraping and zero-day malware. Secure applications can only be deployed to endpoints after the endpoints have been enrolled to the Central Management Console (CMC). This can be done in 4 ways – via Active Directory, Work Group, network address and by email invitation. The first three methods will automatically install CSB on endpoints. The last method, email invitation, requires the end-user (or an administrator) to install the CSB agent on the endpoint. This guide explains how to install CSB (using the email method) and how to use Secure Box applications. Guide Structure: •

2.Download and Install Secure Box This section explains how to install the Secure Box agent on endpoints via the email method. Users of these endpoints will receive an email containing a link which will allow them to install the agent on their machines. • Users with CSB already installed can skip this section. You will receive an email from Comodo containing the CSB app download link: • •

Open either one of the links and save the setup file to your computer:

Note: Most users should ignore all other fields in this form. The server address and customer ID are auto-populated and are required to apply policies configured in the management console. The last two fields apply to on-premise installations of the management console. Comodo recommends these fields should only be modified by administrators. Click 'OK' to return to the EULA screen

Please read the license agreement and check the 'I accept the terms in the License Agreement' box.

Click 'Next' next to begin the installation:

• The endpoint must be restarted to finalize the installation. After rebooting, the endpoint will be enrolled to the Secure Box management console and will be ready for deployment of CSB applications.

3.Using Secure Box Applications After endpoint enrollment, your administrator will be able to push CSB secure applications to your system. New applications will be placed on your desktop. There are three types of secure applications - secure URI, secure applications and secure folders: Secure URI – Secures connections to an important website or company portal.

Secure Application – Protects the application in question from malicious processes by running it inside the Secure Box environment.

Secure Folder – Sensitive and important folders are run inside the Secure Box environment.

To open a CSB secure application, just double click on it. Depending on your administrators preference, you may be prompted to enter a password to continue:

Enter the password provided by your administrator and click 'OK'

The secure app will open.
