Musical Movement

On Tuesday mornings you can find Prindle LaBarge at the Branch’s Preschool Story Time, counting attendees, assisting with activities, cleaning up afterwards--and having as much fun as any of the kids. When Preschool Story Time is not in session, Prindle helps clean toys and arrange picture books. She also helps proofread Library publications and creates beautiful bulletin boards. Prindle is a joy to be around and her enthusiasm is contagious.

Battle of the Books
Form a team, read from a selected list of books and then compete with other teams by answering questions based on the books. This program is open to 6th-, 7th- and 8th-graders from Farmington/ Farmington Hills middle, upper elementary and home schools. Registration forms and instructions are available at local schools, in the teen areas of both Farmington Community Library branches and online at http://www.farmlib.org/battle-ofthe-books-2. Forms must be completed and returned to the Media Centers of participating schools. (Home-schooled teams should turn in their forms at either branch of the Library.)
