Triple Sundae! Marian | Anthony | Faustina These cute little triplets studying at Royal Concorde International School were born on 4th Feb 2007 to the Gerards. All the three were born under ‘C’ section two minutes one after the other in Bangalore. Each child is different. Marian wants to be a singer; Anthony a policeman; Faustina a doctor! Unlike twins...they have very different likes and dislikes. You can watch these bubbly and popular kids playing in Kalyan Nagar. A triple sundae indeed!

A comprehensive guide to fasting! Part - 1 taken care of. Fasting is the simplest, easiest and most effective way to find out that we do indeed have the power and freedom to heal and take control of our bodies!
Why do we fast?
”Lankhanam paramoushadam” This is done by yogis as a form of cleansing or purification. Since we make our digestive system work several times a day, it is also a good idea to give it some rest! This will allow our digestive system to recover from the abuse; from eating too much, eating unhealthy foods or eating at the wrong time. It also allows us to get rid of toxins in our body. Fasting is a period of abstinence from all food or specific items.
Fluids are consumed
in sufficient quantity to satisfy thirst and physiologic requirements. During the absence of food, the body will systematically cleanse. Nearly everyone who fasts discovers the same thing, that when they fast they actually have no hunger and more energy than they normally have. It is indeed liberating to find out that if we let go and trust that we will be
Some people fast for religious and spiritual purposes, but for many, fasting is a way of losing weight or cleansing the body and flushing out all the toxins from it. Many people are also known to combine yoga and fasting, to maximize the effect of the act on their health. Many people who are aware of the benefits of detox fasting, but find it difficult to abstain from food completely, take up a yoga diet instead. Since the real yogis just ate to live (and did not live to eat), they followed a yoga diet plan, which mainly included whole and healthy foods that provided the body with the required strength and energy, Most yoga teachers advise people to follow a yoga diet to detox the body and complement their yoga routine.

Travel Igglur Reservoir across Shimsha River, with its’ breathtaking blue waters and picturesque surroundings is where B V Prakash, an accomplished travel writer takes us this weekend‌
Igglur Reservoir The rivers of Karnataka have been harnessed very well for the sake of agriculture by building reservoirs and dams across at suitable points in their course. In the process many dams, some well known, others little known, have been created! Besides serving the purpose of irrigation these dams have turned into beautiful and scenic locales. Among the not so familiar ones is the Igglur dam off the Mysore road near Maddur. The large sprawling reservoir of Igglur is essentially a barrage across the Shimsha River which flows through the village. Located in a typical rural countryside amongst tiny villages the dam serves the purpose of irrigation for hundreds of acres. Though the popular Kokkarebellur itself is at a close distance the surroundings of Igglur too abound in varieties of birds, local as well as migratory. Not only the reservoir provides plenty of food for the birds but the forests lining the river supply the nesting material. As such varieties of birds thrive at this spot. So if you are a birdwatcher a visit to this place will be all the more exciting! Approaching Igglur
f ro m Kokkarebellur the arch of Someshwara temple is seen on the right. The mud road leads to the reservoir at the ground level. But getting into waters here may not be advisable in view of quicksand and
slippery rocks. However, towards the western side is an old temple in a depression in the land. Due to seepage of water the temple sometimes seems to be waterlogged.
The dam has another approach over the barrage on the other side. Reached by driving up a km around the lake the dam affords a stunning view of the large reservoir and the gentle hill ranges to the north. The barrage itself has nine gates which are opened in case of an overflow of the river. On the other side of the dam the excess water gushes out forcefully into the river course. The river flows smoothly between thick green woods. The rocky banks are where fishermen perch and wait for their catch. Many birds too can be seen here. Cormorants can surely be spotted with their wings well spread out to dry. There is a small generator room too but its output is utilized for just lighting the surroundings. The view of the blue river flowing away taking a bend is a pleasing sight. One can relax anywhere along the river bank or by the reservoir at the village.
Getting there: Drive on Mysore Road beyond Channapatna (until 75 kms) when the board to Kokkarebellur is displayed. Turn left‌follow the road beyond K bellur for another 19 kms to reach Igglur reservoir. One km to the right leads to the reservoir. Many buses ply from Maddur and Channapatna. Food and water to be taken along. B V Prakash bv.prakash@yahoo.com
