Dear Sir, Residents living in and around the Chellekere Lake (Sai Greens Apartment road) are facing civic problems because of the poor condition of the road. Especially, during monsoons let alone motoring, but also walking on this small stretch is a harrowing experience. Around 300 families have to depend on this small stretch of around 300 meter road. The residents have been going from pillar to post with no help coming from any quarters. This area has been ignored by the authorities, while most of the roads have been laid in the neighborhood. The local MLA and other leaders, who had visited recently, assured that they would solve the issue. Hope, the leaders would live up to the promise.

Nameetha Janardhan, a child-counselor advocates the need for parents, to teach their kids to take their own decisions… because we have already decided that they can’t decide. Why? They are too young, immature and may not take the right decision. True. I agree.
Help them decide Kids are individuals who are capable of thinking and evaluating just like elders
.....Teach Kids to take decisions on certain things that will help them evolve as stronger individuals. .....My son had a school program last week and a very famous and renowned musician presided the occasion. He was telling us that his parents were very keen on him becoming a doctor and to cut a long story short, he opted for a degree in commerce. He had to finally give shape to his dream of becoming a musician after his college by starting to learn instruments and study music. The entry into his dream realm was pushed by many years of futile study in the wrong field. It was a matter of a decision going wrong initially, which cost him a lot of time and effort getting wasted.

Facts about Eye Donation • Eye donation is the voluntary donation of eye of a dead individual to a registered eye bank • The cornea of donated eye, used in corneal transplantation, can help a corneal blind person regain sight • Eyes can be donated by any individual irrespective of age, sex, religion, caste or race • Eyes can be donated only after death and must be removed within 6 hours after death • You need to inform the eye bank close to your house, soon after death • The eye bank team would visit the house/hospital and perform the procedure of eye removal called ‘ENUCLEATION’. This takes about 20-30 minutes and the face of the deceased is not disfigured in any way • The identities of both the donor and the recipient are kept confidential • No religion is against eye donation • Eye donation forms are available at our centre, with details of your nearest eye bank • By filling up the form you are just making your wish public, so that in any inadvertency, your family and friends are aware of your wish for eye donation, and the necessary phone call to the eye bank is made within the first SIX hours after death Pledge your eyes after death, which is the most precious gift you can give to a blind person. Go ahead, donate them, and bring light in somebody’s dark life, after your death…

Investment and approvals are not a worry! But the business model is what makes a difference! .....As a society, we find ourselves increasingly drawn into our jobs, our familial duties, our routines, that we barely explore our soul. On that note, of late a surprising number of people have started setting up their own businesses. What’s so remarkable you may ask? The answer to that is, most of them happen to be working professionals from the IT and allied industries, diverting their mind and energy from their main course of work to run their small to large pet ventures.
.....All said it is not easy managing work and business. Prasanna, who runs a franchise consulting firm and is a project manager at a leading company, says, “We started this to explore franchising. I pitch in with inputs on companies that are good and bad bets for franchising while my wife does the background work and deals. It surely wasn’t easy initially, gaining trust and managing our resources, especially. But we managed that over time and are running a successful show now.”

has the temple of Shani with an image of a crow. The hilltop is adjacent but has no access from here. So it is suggested that the ashram and its surroundings are first visited and the hill can be climbed up from a trail outside next to the temple. It can also be done the other way. The hillock is a private land and as such, the visitors must ensure that no littering of food, wastes and plastics are done. At the top is a rocky plateau where one can sit and enjoy the scenic valleys around. There are a few trees offering shade where one can eat and relax. .....Sreedhara Gudda off the Mysore road (SH 17) is hardly 20 kms from the city. The highlight of the place is the Centre for Self-realization with its well maintained temples and garden. Headed by Gurumatha Amma, the Ashram is a quiet and serene place conducive for meditation and self realization. .....There are temples of Ganapathi, Subrahmanya, Karunakshi and Karunaeshwara in the main courtyard surrounded by tress and flowering plants. The Soundarya Lahari Samputa, Vyasa Veda Peetha , the stone pillar and the statue of Karthikeya are all worth looking at. The best part, however, is the Navavarana Vana – the nine tiered garden dedicated to nine planets. Each enclave has an arch and the trees related to respective grahas. ..... There are 108 steps to go up and the last enclave
