I choose to photograph weddings because therein I find ingredients that nourish my soul and my love for photography. Love, feeling, joy, tenderness, passion are the emotions that surround a wedding... and I want to be there for every moment. At every wedding, my wish is to find friends, not customers, and this is why I seek to be the person who documented every moment of that great day. I seek uninhibited couples who want to break the rules and traditions that make a wedding. Which is why my work is completely custom, and my couples will deal with me from the interview through the album. For me, every wedding is a commitment and personal challenge of innovating in each one of them.

Flavio Bandiera

Flavio Bandiera was born in 1970. His life is permeated with photography since the youngest age, being his father Stefano a well-known advertising and landscape photographer. Art lover, fond of literature and music, Flavio begins his career as an assistant photographer working in several fields as portrait, still life, and advertising photography. His first experience with wedding photography, in the ’90s, was almost accidental and marked the beginning of a great passion: while looking for a perspective that could be more real and immediate than the most fashionable and popular point of view he discovered in this field the perfect mixture of a formal rigour and a stylistic spontaneity. “I am constantly travelling around the world, taking pictures of weddings and events for all those people desiring to preserve memories of exciting celebrations: I serve them with my photo reportages that merge spontaneity and refinement, and bring back to memory the delight and joy of such unique situations.

Luca Antonelli

Your credo? What ever you do, do it well. One of the most famous quotes of Walt Disney that I always try to achieve. Dreamy destination? I love Japan. I love the the traditions and the atmosphere of that land, and I hope someday to partecipate to a destination wedding in Japan. You are wedding photographer since? I started to photograph weddings since 2009 as second photographer. In 2011, during a workshop, I met Tatiana, a really good photographer that in 2013 became my wife. In the same year we opened our studio „Alma“. Your inspiration source for creativity? Our main source of inspiration are our brides and our grooms. With them we talk constantly of the marriage, together we chose the locations, we discuss about the details and study any moment of day. Nothing is left to improvisation, in this way every marriage becomes special for us and for the newlyweds. Naturally behind every marriage there is also a continuos study on photography, on wedding photographers, on the styles and „ways of telling“ with photos. In this, weddingphotographersociety.com is definitely a huge help. Which moment you like the most in wedding day? The moment that surely we love the most in the wedding day is the time of the „getting ready“. Often the photographer is left alone with the bride or groom and the atmosphere that is created becomes very constructive, in those moments there‘s always a particular energy in the newlyweds, a mixture of joy and nervousness which makes every thing more intense. For this, the pictures that we take become special. Wedding photography for you is? Wedding photography for me is a medley of many things, the proud to have been chosen to tell one of the best days of the newlyweds, the determination to being able in any wedding to do better than the previous marriage, the fear of not being able to do better than the previous marriage, the awareness that every marriage brings something new to learn. All feelings that push you to do my best every time. What would you wish to Society? I hope that the Society will continue, as it has done until now, to valorize the work of professional photographers.

What ever you do, do it well

Dreamy destination? Mexic because I am madly in love with their colours and energy. I am sure they really know how to live the moment. You are wedding photographer since? 5 years. Your inspiration source for creativity? My sweet girlfriend Andra which has always positive energy and a smile on her face + good music ( I always imagine and „hear“ music while I am shooting and I see everything as a movie). Which moment you like the most in wedding day? My favorite moment is when the brides are getting ready, because they are excited, all sort of people come in and see them and they see each other after a long time (in many cases). They are extremely impatient. Wedding photography for you is? The perfect place where love and emotions meet. Nothing else charges me with more energy than a wedding, you can see there the deepest feelings of your bride and groom, of their parents, of their friends. So much happiness. The complexity of the event blows me away, because everything is so diverse. A photography with the grandparents is so different from the photo with your best friends jumping in the pool for example, but still they both can bring you tears in your eyes and to make you feel like you wanna live that moment. What would you wish to Society? Wish you all the best and grow this Society as we also try to grow our businesses, with a lot of passion :D

Photography does not just document your life: it is the fundament of your future memories. A wedding is not a static moment but an enfolding story, filled with nervous emotion, joyful relief and funny little mishaps.

Your credo? I truly believe that a beautiful photo shows the connection between two people. The connection that only they have, not the one that I, as the photographer, creates. A hallmark of my work is being able to capture that emotional connection and beauty while adding in a beautiful scene, light or other story telling elements. You should look back at a photo in 50 years and not only see a timeless photo, but feel that same emotion. Dreamy destination? I love unique destinations. I’ve photographed in 3 different countries and numerous states in the US for both big weddings and small elopements. While one of my favorite destination weddings of all time has to be an elopement with 5 people total (including the officiant and myself), any “unique” destination has the potential to be a truly beautiful environment. I’d love to do something in an abandoned castle personally. You are wedding photographer since? I’ve been a wedding photographer since 2006 and an editorial/magazine photographer since 2005. Your inspiration source for creativity? I draw inspiration from so many places other then wedding photographers. Film, locations, advertising campaigns and observing real life interactions with people all influence my work. Which moment you like the most in wedding day? It’s so difficult to pick just one moment, there are so many great ones. For me, I love the peak of emotion in any part of the day. One of the times when its most apparent is when the bride and groom see each other for the first time whether its walking down the aisle or seeing each other before the ceremony. Gasps, smiles, tears - you name it, there is such a range of unfiltered emotion at that moment it makes for amazing photography. Wedding photography for you is? I have a very simple philosophy when it comes to capturing a wedding. Sometimes we take photos that show what our clients (and family & friends) look like, others show “who they are”. I love creating a highly styled, posed and lit portrait but I also love capturing the raw emotion, the “moment” and the joy of the day to show who we are. I think in terms of 100 or even 200 years from now, when we are all gone and all that is left are the photos, what will they tell people about how we lived & loved. What would you wish to Society? I am so honored to be part of such an elite group of photographers. My sincerest thanks to you for all the hard work you put in not only for running such an amazing organization but the monthly contests and publications giving every photographer the urge to push themselves. Keep up the great work!

I love to read, write, and of course snap tons of pictures! All jokes aside, I’m incredibly lucky that my passion happens to coincide a wonderful job: capturing people’s most cherished memories. I started taking photos too long ago to mention (ahem), but the thing I love most about photography is that, for “my” couples, the dazzling smiles, tender moments, and joyous celebrations of their special day never seem lose their emotional glow as time goes by.. It makes me feel incredibly good to be able to give people that kind of feeling and I hope to be able to keep doing it for a long, long time to come.

Over the years I focused on the world of weddings and from 2006 I finally started to express my ideas and creativity through reportage photography, or known as photojournalism. A beautiful picture is something so subjective. It doesn’t have to be technically perfect to be beautiful, yet it needs to be able to re-evoke unique moments and feelings. In one single image, there is so much to say and, even more, transmit to those who look at it, again and again in time. I am a very sensitive person, one of those lucky who get excited while waiting of the bride, or enchanted in front of a kiss at the sunset. And I like to get involved emotionally in front the love stories of my couples, this is the secret of the success of my “Photo Wedding Stories”.

I have an incredible love for travelling and I don’t only shoot weddings around Greece and the Greek islands, but I am shoot destination weddings all over Europe and the rest of the world. Tell me a funny joke and I will appreciate it. A good song makes me tap my foot and a great beat resonates with my soul. I am passionate about people and their stories. The Greek island of Paros and its people stole my heart, so I visit as often as I can. Connecting with people and building relationships gets me excited. Seeing other people happy, makes me happy. Sticking my eye behind the camera’s viewfinder energises me. Every day I make a point to notice the beauty of the sunset.

Your credo? I believe that the photography is a life style, is a way that you can enjoy the real sense of the life. The photographer is like a writer, He needs to show his vision at somebody else or at the public and he uses the cameras like a pen. When the inspiration is coming‌ the eyes, the camera and the soul are one thing. The story is the focus of my approach at wedding photography, i think the tale is the center of photo reportage. Dreamy destination? I think Mexico for a lot of reason, this country includes a different weathers and climates and the light is very strange. You can enjoy a carribean atmosphere and in the same day you can fly in the Desert, Montain lagoon, or you can enjoy a ancient mayan ruin like venue of your photo shoot. You are wedding photographer since? Since 2005. Your inspiration source for creativity? The Arts in general are source of my inspiration. When you are reading a book you are imagining something, a atmosphere, a emotion, a light a moment. The Cinema is a good school for every photographer because the Cinema is the evolution of the photography and includes a story too. The art exhibition as well, the Artist looking a inspiration in the Beauty and they discover what is hidden. I think is very important to share your images with other photographer, the global comunity is a big source for the photographer. Which moment you like the most in wedding day? I love the getting ready, you are solo with Bride and in this moment starts the magic. Wedding photography for you is? It is a good way to develop my vision, it is not only a job but is a mission. What would you wish to Society? I wish to the Society keeps going to this way. You rock guys!!!

Your credo? I don’t just want to take pictures, I want to make memories last forever. Dreamy destination? Scandinavian countries. I’d love to see the Northern lights. You are wedding photographer since? I have been into wedding photography since the moment I was born. My father is a wedding photographer and I grew up looking at my father working and taking pictures at weddings. I have been a professional photographer for 20 years. Your inspiration source for creativity? The most important source of inspiration is being curious. I love looking at people and what they are doing. I like looking at what is going on around me, being amazed by every single detail just like a child would do. That’s the key for creativity. Which moment you like the most in wedding day? I don’t have a favorite moment. Of course some moments are more emotional than others like when the bride arrives at the church or when still the bride steps inside the church but I believe wedding is a mix of special moments and you have to tell them all, make them last forever. A photographer should never get distracted because you never know when something special can happen. Wedding photography for you is? Bride and groom put their trust in you, asking to make their memories last forever in the most important day of their lives. To me is the most important honor and responsability a photographer could ever have. What would you wish to Society? Get the chance to share my idea of wedding and at the same time compare my work to the one of the greatest wedding photographers.

I am inspired by people, and the love that they share. Which moment you like the most in wedding day? My favorite time is when bride and groom are getting ready. Wedding photography for you is? Wedding photography is a mission, it is being a photojournalist, a portrait photographer, an artist, and requires a lot of people skills. What would you wish to Society? I wish for the society to grow, and to not only focus on staged wedding photography and dreamy destinations, but on real moments and emotions, as wedding photography is not about the perfect picture, it is about telling a story and creating real genuine memories.

Your credo? My credo is simply that quality is not an exception, and photography is not a job but a passion. Dreamy destination? I don’t have a dreamy destination; every single place offers an opportunity to shoot stunning pictures if we pay attention of the composition and the elements to play with. However Mauritius of course is my favorite venue and definitely the south of the Island with its pristine large immaculate beaches and the mountains in the back. You are wedding photographer since? I’ve had, as a wedding photographer in Mauritius since about 20 years, the extreme honor of photographing couples from all over the world here in Mauritius, in the Seychelles, Africa and Indian Ocean and each one of them proves for me time and time again what a wonderful gift this has been. I love the ability to preserve memories that couples and their families will treasure for many years to come. Your inspiration source for creativity? The wedding couple is my main source of inspiration and creativity, as every single event and “talents“ are different and that requires a special attention. I look often on the internet to add some more techniques to my skills and to provide, then, in a very natural, modern, elegant, romantic and cinematic way, an even better end-product. Which moment you like the most in wedding day? Although I love capturing every part of a wedding, the preparation of the bride as well as the moment when they have said “yes” and feel more relax and more “open” to the photographer’s presence are the moments I prefer best. Shooting a beautiful sunset with a lovely relaxed newlywed couple is a must. Wedding photography for you is? You really have to love weddings in order to be successful at it and get any personal satisfaction out of your work. Another point brought up is the difficulty in balancing what you want to create as an artist with what your clients might ask you to do but there are thankfully many, many, reasons why I love wedding photography and number one is emotions and that’s why I remain in the industry since decades and love what I do. What would you wish to Society? I wish to society to succeed and provide more high-end passionate and famous photographers all around the world, choosing only the best-in-class worldwide artists.

Dreamy destination? I have photographed in so many wonderful places around the world. One scenario I haven’t photographed yet is in a dessert. Something like the Rocky Mountains in Western USA. That would be a dreamy destination. You are wedding photographer since? I have worked as a Professional Wedding Photographer since 2006 (10 years). Your inspiration source for creativity? I look at photography in general as a source of creativity. However, my number one source for inspiration and creativity is the Movies (cinema). Which moment you like the most in wedding day? Let me say that I have two preferred moments. One is when the bride is ready before the wedding. I tell her that this is her moment. I usually take the best photos of her right there. The other moment I appreciate shooting is the ceremony as a whole with all the emotion and beautiful moments. Wedding photography for you is? Have the huge responsibility of registering one of the most important days of a couple’s life. They count on us to write their story in photos with art and poetry. This is beautiful!! What would you wish to Society? Nothing but growth and success. When i joined Society it was small but I knew it would grow fast. After taking his artistic high school degree, he graduated in photography in 2004 at the European Institute of Design in Milan. In the same year he began to realize his weakness, working for the photojournalism agency ‘LaPresse’, becoming a professional photographer. During this collaboration, which lasted 5 years, Eugenio has the opportunity

At the same time he had the opportunity to spend a few months in New York, where he discovers the wedding reportage, getting in touch with the style and images of American photojournalism. What makes his shots unique is of course his ability to accompany the report, which is the basis of his philosophy, the style photography with all its elegance, its pure image and chic aesthetics. During his carrier he acquired strong knowledge and technical skills which helped him to open in 2009 his own studio in Milan: Eoswedding Studio. Your inspiration source for creativity? Arts and movie. Which moment you like the most in wedding day? He loves the intensity of the ceremony. Wedding photography for you is? A photographer must love his work. My work is to see beyond everything and in the end to stop the emotion of the moment. Marriage is a unique day and for this reason the images have to be alive enouth to revive the same emotion with the same intensity all the memories of that wonderful day... „

MY IDEA ABOUT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY I shoot a wedding with the goal to build a reportage, a story. This means that I try as much as possible to blend me in among the guests in order to not affect in any way the natural course of events, capturing in this way the genuine emotions of your wedding. Is for this that the spouses never look at me and they are truly natural. I usually don’t ask for poses if not for the formal photos with your families and friends (if you’ll love to have them) and for some more technical shoots. My profile during the day wants always to be extremely low and my presence takes a back seat and you’ll enjoy your wedding without feeling the “pressure” of the photographer. WHY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY? The answer is only one: Emotions! I always wanted that my photograph speaks of life and that excites in any way; marriage was the natural development of this idea. Is for this that my photography is unobtrusive and people are always natural and spontaneous: they never looks at me during the wedding because often they just don’t know where I am. I use natural light, also if it is a very low, because a dinner by candlelight is a precise spouses’ choice and I don’t want to change the mood in any way! I strongly believe that the wedding photos should speak about the spouses and should, in time, bring back what they have tried.

Your credo? I started out in the wedding industry 10 years ago as a cinematographer and added photography to my services as well. Around 5 years ago I decided to persue wedding photography exclusively. I have done more than 500 weddings as main photographer and love the challenge to shoot each wedding uniquely and creatively, focusing on the client‘s personal memories and moments. My style is mostly a creative photojournalism approach with a touch of fine art. I‘ve won a few awards, ranked on a few worlds best lists and have been published widely. Most importantly, my clients love their photos and the way it makes them remember their wedding day, and that is what it is all about in the end. Dreamy destination? Any destination will do, from the grasslands of Africa to the cityskapes of New York – just as long as I have awesome clients! Your inspiration source for creativity? My clients! I am inspired by what I see in front of my lense – the location, the light, the emotions, the relationships, body language and tangible object. But in the end it is the couple that inspire me the most. Which moment you like the most in wedding day? The couple photoshoot. This is my special time alone with the couple and I love getting to know them on such a personal level. I also love the challenge to get creative and get natural portraits over cliched posed images. Wedding photography for you is? Wedding photography to me is all about the people at a wedding, not the things. I focus on the emotions and the memories of my clients so that in 20 years from now they will look back at their wedding album and remember what it felt like on their wedding day – not just see what they looked like. What would you wish to Society? Congratulations on your 1st year anniversary! I have only been a member for about 4 months, so I have not yet been able to take part in all the Society has to offer, but I am looking forward to do so. Congratulations again and keep up the good work!

We believe that every wedding involves: Dozens of thoughtful choices and careful selections – from settings and shoes to veils and vows – made by grooms as well as brides, these days; A gathering of unique, beloved, and supportive friends and family; A host of sweetly ordinary and intensely profound moments that emerge before, during, and after the “big event”. Words can’t express how much I love this work or the tremendous pleasure and sense of accomplishment our teams feel when we capture the little and big moments of your event as they magically, and uniquely, unfold.

Your credo? I am perfectionist, so I always seek for the best result which is possible in particular situation. To reach the best vision of yourself and to stay in that moment. Dreamy destination? Once I loudly said that I wish to fly to all destinations and to photograph crazy in love couples. This happend, and now I am always on my way to most beautiful places around the world. Dreamy destination is not a place or venue for me it is about people around, about that happiness feeling. You are wedding photographer since? Long. Since 2003 I am working as pro fashion and wedding photographer. In these years happend awesome stories, timeless photographs and I am feeling totally great about my lifestyle. Photography is art and art is not a job for me, it is who I am. Your inspiration source for creativity? There are lot of inspirational things around me. The most beautiful is my muse, my beloved wife Monica. Our travels together around the world, new places, new cultures which we discover. As well I am painter (once art collector said that this is why my paintings are so colorful, so vibrant because of my black and white photography), so art galleries, art books, music inspires me as person and artist. Which moment you like the most in wedding day? Bridal morning stories is my happy place. My eye for artistic beauty makes my work original, stylish, and deeply emotional, and my ability to record real wedding day in timeless vintage style while creating fashionable bridal portraits is my major strength. Wedding photography for you is? Movement. I love to be in most beautiful destinations, to meet amazing couples, to create in action, to photograph real emotions, to feel the love all around. What would you wish to Society? I hated all societies before I found yours. Keep doing it in amazingly way you do!

Your credo? As an international, award winning and published husband and wife photography team, we believe that photography should be imaginative, passionate, intimate and authentic. pher since? As we believe in time travel, we shoot weddings for hundreds of years. And if you see us reinventing wedding photography in 200 years from now, you know that we are still traveling through time‌ ;) Your inspiration source for creativity? Jesus gives us the creativity and to wake up every day. It is our job to see it and to use it to bless our couples. Which moment you like the most in wedding day? There are many moments that make us smile. When the couple and their family allow us to serve them, the moments when they allow us to be crazy to create some unique memories and the moments when they tell us they have never seen a wedding photographer working that hard at any wedding. Wedding photography for you is? A moment to bless a couple when they need a lot of blessings. It is an amazing way to show who the couple is and what they love to do – not what the photographer likes to do. What would you wish to Society? I wish that the Society finds ways to show couples that wedding photography does not have to be cookie cutter style. Just like the couples are unique, so can their images. At the end, these images from the engagement to their wedding day become their unique memories that are different to the family next door.

My goals: Document your wedding by creating strong and well composed images. Photograph in my way all those little candid moments that a lot of people don’t see. Integrate details in the images to better reflect emotions and the ambience of a day. My assets: I photograph all kinds of weddings, from the most classical ones to the most original. I am particularly fascinated by the weddings with various cultures and traditions in the background. To share my experience with you, I focused one of the menu columns only on those weddings.

I am a professional photographer, living in Romania and I am very passionate about my work. I like perfection, so always try the impossible to get the best shots. I started photography in 2009 and the experience gained has helped me to show the world as I see it. Being photographer doesn’t mean a master in technique, owning the newest cameras, it’s just about feeling the light! In my case, the words of Anabella Williams stands: “Photography is 90 % psychology and only 10 % technique“. I have learned about photography by practicing a great amount of time and by watching tutorials on YouTube. I like competitions. Not for the awards, but for that beautiful state of mind i have when people that i consider professionals give me their vote of confidence. It is always nice to see clients that value my work, but the subjectivism of a person who is the character of a photo is greater than the one from an uninvolved professional, the one that looks with a critical eye at the work of another professional. This is the main reason i enter competitions; they represent on objective, a view of my work.

Your credo? Authenticity and connection are the only two concepts that will make a photographer be successful. If we want to tell a story about a couple, we need to feel connected to them. If we want to story to look real, we need to work more on our authenticity and connection with ourselves and our surroundings. This is the only way we can show the world how we see these stories with our naked eyes, without filters... Dreamy destination? Bali. It is my favorite place in the world. I would go back every year. You are wedding photographer since? 5 years ago. Your inspiration source for creativity? Meditation, dancing, reading, watching movies and going to art exhibitions. Almost anything that can make my mind go to other places and make my heart feel! Which moment you like the most in wedding day? The party (when people are being themselves and dancing like there is no tomorrow and yes, I stay until the very end and always have fun like crazy). Wedding photography for you is? The most complex and meaningful art. We get to show the world through our eyes some of the most important life stories. We have only one chance to create something extraordinary. To me it is one of the most beautiful jobs. Who else gets to live and interpret love weekend after weekend? Only we do! What would you wish to Society? That we could start being more authentic and behaving more like kids. The more we are true to our hearts, the happier we are. If we could just all be a little bit happier!

Your credo? Wedding photography it is part of my life, since I was a kid – my parents were also photographers. Photography has always been part of our lives. I do wedding photography to capture moments and unique moments to give a value to the peoples memories and I really appreciate when people appreciate my work. Dreamy destination? I am married to my wife on a beach in the Seychelles in January 2013, it was just me and her with two witnesses and the celebrant and I think this is a dream for everyone to be able to photograph! You are wedding photographer since? I started doing wedding photography since I was 16 years old, so now it is over 25 years that I‘m a wedding photographer. Your inspiration source for creativity? My first source of inspiration in my work has always been „the movies“ I have always been fascinated by the films of Federico Fellini, for photography and for the light… for the black and white charm... I have tried for almost many years to bring the natural ambient light and spontaneity of the sceneseven in marriage and this has always given excellent results. I tried to combine the photojournalism to photography of the cimena scene. I‘m loving it! Which moment you like the most in wedding day? One of the highlights for me the most beautiful and exciting is the moment when the groom meets the bride to the ceremony and sees her for the first time dressed as a bride … I think here the emotion is at the maximum for everyone and they are really sincere and spontaneous… Wedding photography for you is? For me the magic of being able to capture unique moments that will remain forever fixed in time and in our memories… only a photographic print can bring in time a memory dear to us! I think that our work is with a lot of responsibility… people ask us to photograph one of the most important days of their lives… I believe that a wedding photographer for this reason must always give them the maximum results! What would you wish to Society? A community always growing which allows photographers to compete and grow in their job. The comparison is now essential for every professional photographer anywhere in the world!

Only a photographic print can bring in time a memory dear to us

Your credo? My credo is „Travel improves the mind wonderfully, and does away with all one’s prejudices.“ by Oscar Wilde. Dreamy destination? Costa Rica as i will go there soon for a sabbatical year with my girlfriend. You are wedding photographer since? After working in a studio for almost 3 Years i started my carreer as selfemployed wedding photographer in 2013. Your inspiration source for creativity? Being a student for photojournalism in Hannover and surrounded by inspiring and most talented young photographers and teachers every day. As a photographer you’ll always be a student because you can always learn from other photographers. Which moment you like the most in wedding day? I love to photograph the getting ready at most because this is where bride and groom start to get nervous or being totally relaxed. It’s so different compared to the rest of the wedding day because both, bride and groom start their day seperate. So these photos are a big surprise for the bridal couple. I also love to photograph the party, especially when all the people are on the dancefloor ready to dance all night long and the bridal couple literally forgets all the stressfull days full of planning. Wedding photography for you is? For me wedding photography is the most intimate form of photography because I really get to know a couple like a friend. In the end of a weddings I feel like I am part of the wedding and this is my source of real wedding photojournalism. As I learned as a photojournalist, it needs time and trust to get strong and photography full of passion. And it is worth to take that time. What would you wish to Society? I wish the Society all the best, that it grows fast as community and also an annual get together of all the talented wedding photographers in form of a meeting or conference would be nice.
