Azka Shahid @azkashahid Firstly, the only thing I liked about the LSAs are the videos of her singing songs from Baaji. She’s having a moment right now with the comeback, good for her! And anyway, she was the best dressed flamenco dancer there, hands down. l Amal Qadri @shakethingsupbyama up, e mak or hair s Jee’ ra Mee I’m not loving I like the top but I really wish it was paired up with a high waisted pants or a pencil skirt, would have given her more height. Mehek Saeed @meheksaeed Riding high on that Baaji wave, Meera was glowing at the LSA’s. She was wearing a sy Nida Azwer outfit that was equal bits clas and fun on her!
Mehek Saeed @meheksaeed As a hand painted cape, it was done well but in person it was hard to pull off given that Iqra isn’t very tall. Keeping that in mind, I would have styled her in something that was flattering for her frame and didn’t cut her in half.
Iqra Aziz
Meera Ji
Amal Qadri @shakethingsupbyamal Iqra is a beautiful girl but the look didn’t do her justice. The suit didn’t match the long trail at the back and ended up taking over her petite frame.
Mahira Khan
Azka Shahid @azkashahid She raided Adam Lambert’s closet and stole Ariana Grande’s wig, simple. Let’s not be unfair and leave her significant other out though; after all they were his-and-hers outfits.
Azka Shahid @azkashahid Mahira is a pretty consistent style star, and you can see that here: flattering silhouette, bit glitzy - as is appropriate for the red carpet -having said that, I like it when she makes a risky sartorial choice and kills it, so this is too safe (read: forgettable) for me. Amal Qadri @shakethingsupbyamal Mahira is Mahira and she pulled the look off! I loved how she kept it simple and didn’t overdo it with any accessories, keeping in mind that the dress already had lace and net! Oh and I’m liking her hair short. Mehek Saeed @meheksaeed Mahira is an actress who rarely has any major fashion faux pas. This wasn’t her best look but I did like her dress because it had some structure at the top and was whimsical and flowy otherwise. I do wish however, that she had given some texture to her hair or tied it up.
Amal Qadri @shakethingsupbyamal The red hair, the yellow dress and then the bag. There was absolutely no connection between them....Momina’s colour choices need to be picked out carefully especially when it comes to her outfits because of her dramatic but gorgeous hair colour. Mehek Saeed @meheksaeed Unfortunately, there’s little to like about Momina’s look. The yellow dress is in stark contrast to her hair colour and that cross body bag on the red carpet killed it for me. I’d style her in something more edgy and experimental, as that seems to be her style.

Maya Ali
Mehek Saeed @meheksaeed Too. Much. Fabric.... is all I could think! It was also ill-fitted and I just couldn’t look beyond that.
Azka Shahid @azka Wake me up when she shoshahid ws up in something less boring. Amal Qadri @shakethingsupbyamal Maya Ali looked charming loved the way she styled and I he up. However, I do think the r hair would’ve looked better in dress a colour, as it gave more bri different de vibes than red carpet. Mehek Saeed @mehek I liked the dress! Although saeed bit white wedding gown forit was a me, it could’ve been a great statem ent with some small earrings sans that chunky necklace.
JULY 14, 2019 | 35
Azka Shahid @azkashahid I think she nailed the look she was going for - dowdy Ronald McDonald, right? And schlepping a full-sized crossbody bag onto the red carpet? Just made no sense.
Amal Qadri @shakethingsupbyamal Is it a suit or is it a dress, there’s too much fabric going on which is covering her amazing figure. I see that this could have been a great look if it fit her like a glove, but sadly it didn’t.

Momina Mustehsan
Azka Shahid @azkashahid I don’t know where to start; fit issues, shoddy construction, unflattering color and fabric; just bad, bad, bad. But the one thing I would absolutely fire the stylist for is the duct-taped ponytail.

Pavlova
Pavlova loves to be dressed up with assorted toppings, mainly fresh whipped cream and piles of fresh fruit. Naturally gluten free, pavlova is light, sweet, and screams warm weather favorite. This versatile dessert goes with fruit toppings, dry fruit toppings, or even with a fruit jus. It’s not a long grocery list, and there’s no way to overcook it.
Ingredients 4 large egg whites 1 cup (200g) fine sugar 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 teaspoon white vinegar or lemon juice 1 teaspoon cornstarch
To obtain the unique pavlova
texture, you must adhere to an exact recipe. While it’s fun to play around with ingredients, pavlova is not the time to stray from what’s listed. It’s picky, but picky doesn’t mean difficult. Just like the meringue on top of our lemon meringue pie, whip the egg whites into super stiff peaks. Stiff enough that you can hold the whisk over your head and feel confident that the whipped egg whites won’t drop. Then you’ll spread the pavlova mixture onto your lined baking pan. You can use parchment paper or a silicone

TIPS
baking mat. Do not grease the baking pan– use a nonstick surface instead. Spread it into a circle, about 8-9 inches in diameter. You can eyeball it or trace one with a pencil. Use the back of a spoon to create decorative peaks. Make sure the edges are tall and you have a nice dip in the center. That’s were we’ll pile our whipped cream and fruit! A relatively cooler oven is imperative for properly cooking your pavlova, but let’s start the pavlova at 350°F (177°C) then reduce it down to 200°F (93°C). I do this to help “set” the outer
Method 2. With a handheld mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form, about 5 minutes. Add the sugar in 2 additions, beating for 30 seconds between, then continue beating on high speed until glossy stiff peaks form, about 2 more minutes. The peaks
should be stiff enough that you can hold the whisk upright and the peaks won’t move. Add the vanilla extract and beat for 1 more minute. The peaks should still be very stiff. If not, keep on mixing on high speed. Using a rubber spatula, fold in the cream of tartar and cornstarch. 3. Spread the pavlova mixture into an 8-9inch circle (see note for mini size). You can make decorative peaks with the back of a large spoon if desired. Make sure the edges are relatively tall and there is a nice dip in the center. 4. Place pavlova in the oven. As soon as you close the oven door,
reduce heat to 200°F (93°C). The pavlova will stay in the oven as it cools down to 200°F (93°C). Bake until the pavlova is firm and dry, about 90 minutes total. Rotate the baking sheet if you notice some spots browning. Try to limit how many times you open the oven as the cool air will interrupt the baking. 5. Turn the oven off and let the pavlova cool inside the oven. Once the pavlova is cool, you can store it covered tightly at room temperature for up to 2 days. Or serve right away. 6. Once cool, top the pavlova with whipped cream and assorted toppings. Slice and serve.

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. (Preliminary note: you will quickly reduce the oven to 200°F (93°C) in step 4.)

Tie-Dye is all the rage, and not just for adults, but little ones too. Make a fun activity out of it by getting some white t shirts and leggings and making your own tiedue attire with your little one joining in.

Bathrobes
Oh what a difference a zip makes. Regular children’s bathrobes will be forgotten, once you try one with a zip. These don’t just keep your little one covered up and safe from catching a chill, but also throw on a diaper or a pair of underwear, and they can keep playing without having to change right that instant.
