Last but not least, Mr Naveed Amjad, who being a veteran in fashion films, has really started to make a mark of his own in the world of photography as well. With images as intense as his films, he is surely on the road to becoming a prominent photographer. Looking at all of this work, I feel super proud of Pakistan and how far our industry has come. It makes me proud to know that my country possesses so much talent that could easily work in any part of the world. These young kids need to be promoted and encouraged, so good work does not die out.

@theworldofhsy
A personal tradition that’s important on eid? The act of giving is so important on Eid, be it to your loved one’s or the less fortunate. Eid is that one time of the year that we see every person in our community actively participate in the act of giving and that tradition to me, is beautiful. Your favorite thing to eat on eid? Every Eid, my mother makes sawaiyan in the early hours of the morning. When your Eid starts with Sawaiyan, it makes it feel festive right from the beginning. So, I’d say my favorite Eid food has to be Sawaiyan because of the family custom. Your fondest Eid memory? My fondest Eid memory is from when I was a child. Going to relatives, asking for Eidi and then spending the next month buying silly toys and spending all that money on food. Then again, I think that is the fondest Eid memory of every adult, since now we are the one’s who have to give!
Eman suleman Model @emansuleman
A personal tradition that’s important on eid? Not exactly on eid, but my fav tradition is most definitely going out on chaand raat with friends or family, for mehndi. RECEIVING Eidi used to be an important tradition, but now I’m old with countless nieces and nephews (the big guys don’t know when to stop) so unfortunately I’ve become an eidi giver instead of an eidi receiver. Your favorite thing to eat on eid? Home made Sawiyaan has always been a staple on Eid at the Suleman residence since I can remember - introduced by my late grandfather. It’s my favourite thing to eat on Eid, specifically. I wouldn’t eat it otherwise. Your fondest Eid memory? Watching all the elders play cards with 10-20 rupees, (also an Eid tradition at the Suleman household), in our home in Islamabad, when my grandparents were alive and evil phupo wasn’t in Pakistan.

A personal tradition that’s important on eid? Eid is that one day where you get to meet relatives you haven’t seen in a while, especially the elderly and I feel that’s important. Your favorite thing to eat on eid? Eid food is always delicious, honestly can’t pick a favourite. Your fondest Eid memory? Fondest memory is with my nani in Mardan, being 8 or 9, all dressed up and having all my family and cousins around.
A personal tradition that’s important on eid? My whole family celebrates Eid together at home. We dress up, say our namaaz & enjoy my mom’s beyond delicious Achaar gosht that she makes every single year on Eid. Your favorite thing to eat on eid? Meethi sawaayiaan for breakfast! Your fondest Eid memory? When I was nine or ten and I went to a park with my friends and gave away all my Eidi to the beggars there. GONAL SAEED OF GO GET GLOW
JUNE 02, 2019 | 62
You are someone with a lot of potential and have many things going on. Being an entrepreneur and a student, how do you handle everything so well?
I would start by saying that I am incredibly blessed to have the support of my family as well as a ton of help from my older sister Huma! Besides having great back-
ing, I believe time management is the key! If you can manage your time well and work hard nothing is out of reach! Tell us more about Go Get Glow, what is the idea behind the brand? We import international makeup products from top makeup brands around the world. The idea behind the brand is to make makeup more accessible at affordable prices. It also allows for me to work closely with my family abroad which is always a great feeling. What are your future plans and are there any new projects in the works? Besides university, all of my time these days goes to Go Get Glow. We have recently been expanding and adding more members to our team. We have a very exciting project coming up in the near future, which is going to be a makeup masterclass in Lahore on the 29th of June with Natasha Salon from Karachi. What does this makeup masterclass hold in store for us? The masterclass will be a two-day event where Natasha herself will be teaching techniques and giving pro tips on makeup application. Our main focus will be on a smokey eye, a neon look and Natasha’s signature 100 watt skin look. When you’re not busy working, what are some of your favorite things to do? I really love to bake! It has been a childhood hobby of mine. I also enjoy catching up with friends or finishing up university
work. How do you maintain a perfect balance between your work and social life? I wouldn’t say perfect as it’s forever changing but again, I feel that keeping yourself organized and time management can allow anyone to maintain a decent balance between work and social life. It’s good to schedule in a break from work every once in a while because it refreshes and resets your mind. What are your tips for maintaining a healthy skin? My tips for a healthy skin are a lot of sleep, sun block, skin products that match your skin type and to remember to relax. A happy girl is glowing girl! In your opinion, what are some common mistakes you see women make with their makeup? Makeup is a super individual thing so it’s hard to really answer that. I think as long as you’re in the right shade and you blend everything well, you’re good to go. Can you name some of your favourite makeup products to use? What three makeup items should you have at all times? I love the Mac setting spray and Tarte blush palettes. I am also a huge fan of the Mac highlighter pallete! Highlighter is my all time favorite product! The most important makeup products that I always take with me are face powder, a brow pencil and mascara. Which makeup trends this season are you absolutely loving? Thick brushed eyebrows, voluminous/curled lashes, dewy skin makeup look, lip glosses /glossy lips. Describe Go Get Glow in three words? Authentic, diverse and empowering.
