Blues and Stay Awhile

Overnight in Baltimore

The Ivy Hotel is a 19th-century mansion located in the heart of Baltimore’s historic Mt. Vernon neighborhood. It opened its doors in 2015 and was beautifully restored and re-adapted as an elevated boutique hotel with 17 unique rooms. The property prides itself on providing unmatched levels of quality, excellence and attention to detail, ensuring a stay nothing short of extraordinary. Each room, from the public spaces like the conservatory and library to the suites and rooms, is a completely different work of art.

Encased in the DNA of The Ivy Hotel and Magdalena, a Maryland Bistro are the owners’ commitment to diversity at all areas and levels. Owners Eddie and Sylvia Brown are entrepreneurs and philanthropists in the Baltimore area. They met at their alma mater, Howard University, and recently donated $5 million, the largest donation from alumni ever.

The highly inclusive nightly rate includes:

Afternoon Tea, Breakfast & Car Service:

•Complimentary libations, both self-serve and upon request at The Mansion Bar, afternoon tea featuring Black-owned tea brand, Equitea Co. (a GOOP favorite), complemented with tiers of sweet and savory treats and in-room delicacies.

•Special nightly turndown delights, made-to-order breakfast wherever you fancy, a chauffeured car service, gratuity and more are all included in one seamless room rate.

Magdalena, a Maryland Bistro: The Ivy Hotel’s restaurant, led by Scott Bacon, unites culture, tradition, and sophistication to create dishes full of character.

•Trail of Dreams ($20) which highlights the hotel’s meaningful partnership with Uncle Nearest (found throughout the property) and is a nod to Clingmans Dome, Tennessee shedding a light on the troubles of Native Americans and African American peoples along the Appalachian Trail. Ingredients include duck fat washed 1856 Uncle Nearest Whiskey, locally foraged paw paw and black walnut syrup and bitters, burdock root and tail tincture.

The Spa at The Ivy: A sanctuary in the city, the spa offers massage therapy, body rituals, and facial experiences.

•Iconic French-crafted skincare brand, Biologique Recherche is offered so guests and the public can enjoy ultraluxe facial treatments and purchase products directly from the spa.

•The Hot Toddy Foot Ritual celebrates the hotel’s continued partnership with Uncle Nearest. The treatment begins with a relaxing foot soak in birch-infused bath flakes while enjoying a delicious dram of Uncle Nearest Whiskey while you soak, fully immersing yourself into the experience.
