ASHVILLE — After opening as an independent hotel last fall, the Asheville, North Carolina property, Zelda Dearest, has been named the newest in Lark Hotels’ growing collection.

With the same adoring and stylish hospitality that Zelda Fitzgerald was once so fond of, Zelda Dearest embraces the essence of dramatic and spontaneous debutante, Zelda Sayre. She was a fiercely talented artist, novelist, poet, and dancer. According to many, she was a terribly intoxicating delight.

Zelda Fitzgerald’s captivating personality is reflected throughout Zelda Dearest’s 20 rooms, each spread between three thoughtfully restored turn-of-the-century mansions. With timeless and fashionable interiors by Nashville-based design firm, Anderson Design Studio, each room has an enchanting personality, much like Zelda herself. The property pulls from Zelda’s romantic perspectives and artistic character by mixing soft, feminine pink tones with bold and worldly accents.

Zelda Dearest is Lark Hotels’ second Asheville, North Carolina property, debuting alongside Blind Tiger, which opened just steps from downtown in June of 2023. It also is the second partnership between Lark Hotels and commercial real estate developer Hatteras Sky, which proudly serves as Asheville’s Official Hotelier of the Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald Estate.

It is the only hotelier in the world sanctioned by the Fitzgerald family. Along with Hatteras Sky, Somera Capital East serves as a capital partner.

Zelda Dearest joins more than 30 boutique hotels in high-profile destinations across the nation known for their thoughtful design and personalized hospitality under the Lark Hotels umbrella.
