For a nighttime adventure, go stargazing at Bruneau Dunes State Park. The park is home to the Bruneau Dunes Observatory, making it the perfect destination to experience Idaho’s dark sky and view the constellations. In May, the observatory will add a second telescope featuring an accessible lens for visitors using wheelchairs as well as a new ADA-compliant path. With summer vacation around the corner, the park is a great destination for the whole family. Campsites and cabins are available for reservations, and there are first-come, first-served sites as well.

Day-use locations within state parks are open from 7 am to 10 p. m. Broken Wheel and Eagle Cove campsites are available for reservations until October 22,2023. Cabins are reservable year-round. camper cabins are situated with an excellent view of the dunes and sleeps five on a bunk bed and futon. From the large front porch, you can sit on the swing and gaze out at the dunes. The cabins are furnished with a small table, two small benches, electricity, and an A/C & heating unit. Each cabin has a picnic table and fire ring. Guests must bring their own bedding. Reservations may be made online at www.parksandrecreation. idaho.gov
