Women In Real Estate

International Women’s Day is a day of solidarity for us all to celebrate the social, political, cultural and economic achievements of women. For me, this day acts as an opportunity to thank my family especially my husband for being supportive so I can do the job I love and be very good at it. Real estate is normally male dominated but with hard work, female agents nowadays are given the same opportunity to succeed.

I commenced in real estate 6 years ago and was mentored by Phil Haley. He instilled in me the importance of being a professional in my field; to be prepared, transparent, and committed to serve our vendors. Equally, to serve our buyers, investors and tenants.

I have just recently purchased the business and now the owner of the company. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, especially now I’m wearing a different hat as both a manager and owner, looking after sales as well as people.

I have just come back from Queensland to accept another major Award from RE/MAX Network , the Chairman’s Award. Our Penrith RE/MAX office is RATEMYAGENT’s Agency of The Year for Penrith and the men and women in our team working together. Knowledge is power and I have been privileged to support young women in our office to develop their professional skills and to be strong and independent.

I have 2 adult daughters, Marne, an Industrial Designer and Zoe, an Intern Psychologist who are both succeeding in their fields and tell me that they are proud to have me as their mother, who is a woman succeeding in her field. My husband, Shane, has contributed to supporting our family and myself.

Cambridge Park and yours truly is the Agent of the Year for Penrith and Cambridge Park for 2023.

I have my family, good team and a good network and I am grateful that through this job I can make a difference and help someone achieve their property goals. The joy of my clients when they have successfully bought or sold a property, this drives my passion even further.
