Shower Choices Use It Or Lose It

Here’s a breakdown of shower types to make your selection process easier:

Ceiling Showers - a great modern look, often installed with a secondary shower outlet to offer some flexibility.

Rail Showers - need to be fixed into tiles for stability. The rail slider is adjustable, so you can adjust the height of the shower outlet.

Twin Showers - combining a ceiling shower with a rail shower – featuring an integrated diverter valve in the rail, so you can choose between both.

Handheld Showers - a shower handpiece, flexible hose and wall bracket. Provides flexibility and assists with cleaning and washing down those tricky shower areas.

Wall Showers - a wall arm and a shower rose, fixed straight to the pipework coming out of the wall.

Many Solar owners see the exported electricity on their bills as being the benefit that the system has provided and are quite often disappointed when this rate is reduced by the retailers.

In fact this is the amount of power generated but not used by the household. Therefore you are selling your Solar electricity at, for example 10 cents and buying it at night at 30 cents or more.

There are solutions, however.

Install a monitoring device that allows you to see what you are using and when. Make sure you use as much of your electricity when it’s being generated reducing your need to buy it at night or by installing a battery system to allow you to store your excess electricity for the night when you are home.

Storms are hard on a pool. The rain brings down nitrates and phosphates which are great chlorine killers and fantastic algae food.

If your pool is suffering the day after a big summer thunderstorm you need to do something very quickly as the pool can go from clear to murky green in a very short period of time.

An immediate action step is to apply a blended of chlorine and non-chlorine shock. With that apply a phosphate remover to eliminate the food that is supercharging the algae growing in your pool.

For an outdoor pool, a monthly test for phosphates is a very good idea. This will make sure the pool water doesn’t contain the important fertilisers the algae needs to grow and get out of control.
