Named after Governor King and family whose grants in this area totalled 3780 acres. Governor King’s son Phillip Parker King, his three daughters and his wife all had land given to them. King Street is on John Oxley’s original grant which was brought by Phillip Parker King in 1821.

Δ Radio on the road: The top-rating 2GB Continuous Call Team (pictured above) will broadcast live from Penrith on Saturday, September 2. Δ Cruisers in a can: Carlton & United Breweries is leaving glass bottles behind as it introduces its new range of canned Vodka Cruiser Cocktails. The latest drink range is available in three flavours: Passionfruit Daiquiri, Raspberry Cosmopolitan, and Lime Margarita. The Vodka Cruiser Cocktails will be served up in 275ml cans with an alcohol content of 5.5 per cent, that’s 1.2 standard drinks per serving, retailing for $22 at bottle shops nationwide.
