Rides For Charity And Events For Veterans Highlight A Busy Bike Week 2015 The 2015 Laconia Rally gets rolling on Saturday, June 13th with the 9th annual Peter Makris Memorial Run at 11am. This is a State Police escorted, ‘feet-up’ ride around Lake Winnipesaukee, followed by a party at the NASWA Resort. This annual charity run benefits the Laconia Fire Department Lifesaving Fund and Water Rescue Team and the Easter Seals NH Veterans Count program, among other local charities This first event of Bike Week highlights some of the charitable rides that go on and are well attended as bikers get involved There are other charity rides throughout the week as well, including the The Mae West Memorial Run on Monday, June 15, which is named after Laconia Bike Week organizer Charlie St. Clair’s beloved cat, Mae West. This ride

and the proceeds benefit the NH Humane Society, a great local organization . The New Hampshire Motorcyclists Rights Organization Benefit Ride from the Coast to the Mountains will take place on Wednesday, June 17 from Makris Lobster & Steak-

Meredith where Veterans groups from throughout New England will have booths set up and there will be a vintage military vehicle show. Military tributes all day in field. On Tuesday, June 16 the 22nd Annual POW/ MIA Freedom Ride “The

Ride To The Rock” & 27th Anniversary Of The Vigil will take place at Winnipesaukee Crossing in Gilford. Kickstands are up at 6pm sharp for this event and Line-ups at 5pm. This ride is in honor of all POW/ MIAs and families. On Saturday, June 13th, there will be a charity bike ride that will benefit the Cancer Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock. This ride begins at Village Trestle in Goffstown, NH for a breakfast buffet at 9am. Then kickstands are up at 11am. The ride ends at The Looney Bin in Weirs Beach for a pig roast lunch and live music. All included for $25 per person. All are welcome to participate in these fun rides that will be helping and honoring so many. All who benefit appreciate your support. (See events listings in this guide for more info.)

Bike Ride For Better Blueberries The owners of Hermit Woods Winery, a boutique winery on Main Street in Meredith, recently turned a business trip to Ellsworth, Maine into an opportunity for a great motorcycle ride. The riders met with the owner of the Merrill Blueberry Farm there to discuss ways to get the highest quality blueberries for their wine making process. Their goal being to recreate one of their exceptional blueberry wines which they labeled as a “reserved” selection and have cellared in limited quantities.

Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad Laconia Motorcycle Week Train Schedule

Round trip train service will be available from Meredith and Lakeport to Weirs Beach The Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad, based in Meredith & Weirs Beach, NH, is pleased to announce that it will once again offer a special train schedule for those attending the 92nd annual Laconia Motorcycle Week scheduled for June 1321, 2015. Of the four major motorcycle rallies that take place annually in the United States - Daytona, Myrtle Beach, Laconia and Sturgis - Laconia is the only major motorcycle rally to include train service for its attendees. In addition to train service, it’s also the oldest event dating back to 1924. In 2015, event officials are expecting more than 400,000 riders from across North America to enjoy riding on New Hampshire’s scenic roads and highways making it one of the best attended events in the United States. For those wishing to avoid traffic delays to and from Weirs Beach, NH - the hub of Laconia Motorcycle Week activities – round trip train service will be available from Meredith and Lakeport, NH into Weirs Beach and back. Both locations offer free parking for motorcycles, cars and trucks. The cost of round trip tickets from either location to Weirs Beach and back is $15.00 per person for ages 3 and up which includes parking, while ages 2 and under ride for free. Trains will operate most days during motorcycle week taking visitors from Meredith and Lakeport, NH to Weirs Beach and back per the following 2015 Laconia Motorcycle Week train schedule:
