Lakeside Living Expo Now In Its Sixth Big Year Seven years ago, Suzette and Blair Anthony were sitting on the deck of their summer home in the Lakes Region, gazing out across Lake Winnipesaukee. They were discussing some of the things they might need to make their home complete. “The big question we asked ourselves was ‘Where do we get these things?’” Suzette recalled. It was from this simple conversation sprang the idea for The Lakeside Living Expo now in it sixth big year at the spacious Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, Friday through Sunday, July 20-22nd. “We wanted to make the Expo a one-stop shopping experience for second home owners as well as year-round folks who love their lake living experience.” The Expo is not a crafts

I am now being nudged by my artistic muse to try new things, making sure that whatever it is I am working with is environmentally safe and non-toxic to me as well as the environment around me. I find myself constantly considering all of the impacts my actions and the materials I work with
have on the earth. When I closed my antiques and jewelry store, on Martha’s Vineyard, I found myself left with a showcase of Victorian Silverplated serving pieces that no one wanted to buy. Being a Master Silversmith I had always admired the detailed work and forms of old silver. One night I had a dream in which all of the ornate pieces were in wonderful bright colors. So, using my background working with metals and my artistic intuition I embarked on an exciting research and develop-

The Green Mountain Lodge, located slopeside, will showcase the fantastic, rustic furniture of Green Mountain Furniture of Ossipee. Starting out with a small display at the first Lakeside Living Expo, Green Mountain Furniture has grown their exhibit over the years, fully furnished with their premier products. “The Green Mountain Lodge is really like walking into someone’s lakeside home,” said Suzette. “They have a Living Room, kitchen and bedroom display all immaculately set up.” All of this adds up to hours of great ideas to consider for your home and recreation. “It will take you a few hours to see all of our exhibitors,” said Suzette. “If you’ve never been to the Lakeside Living Expo before you are sure to be amazed.” Food and beverage service at both the Powder Keg Restaurant in the North Lakeside Lodge and the Green Mountain Furniture Lodge.
