INGREDIENTS Medium sized Hilsha fish - 1 Polao rice - 3 cups Brown rice - 2 cups Chopped onions - 1 cup Ginger paste - 2 teaspoons Ground turmeric -1 teasooon Coriander powder - ½ teaspoon
Yogurt Low fat yogurt - 4 tablespoons Green chili - 5 to 6 Salt - 1 tablespoon ½ tablespoon Oil - ½ cup 2 tablespoons Lentils - ½ cup

Clean the Hilsha and Heat ¼ cup 1 teaspoon cut into thick pieces. of oil in pan. Stir fry Marinate with turmeric, the onions and coriander, low fat broccoli until brown. yogurt and salt for Add the marinated fish 5 minutes. pieces and cook for 2-3 minutes over medium heat.
Pour in ½ cup of water and add green chilis. Keep over low heat. Once the water reduces and the gravy thickens, turn off the heat.
Heat the rest of the oil in a separate pan. Stir fry the rice with ginger and the rest of the salt for 2-3 minutes.

Cook the rice and lentils in 6-7 cups of water. When the water boils, cover the pan and keep over medium heat.
Wait for 6 minutes before stirring the rice again. Change to low heat and turn off when the water dries up.
Take out half of the cooked rice and pour in all the fish pieces and gravy. Cover the fish with the rice and cook over low heat for 3-4 minutes.
Turn off heat when the mixture looks thoroughly cooked. Serve hot.
