TOUR AMAZING SCENERY “I knew Yorkshire, but I did not realise it was so gorgeous.”
Christian Prudhomme, Director of the Tour de France Yorkshire is a country in a county, a land synonymous with myth, legend and romance. For centuries its landscapes have inspired writers and artists; created kings and hosted queens. It has forged world-beating athletes, trailblazing talent and is the spiritual heartland of cycling in the UK. With three National Parks and over 100 miles of breathtaking heritage coastline, it will provide a stunning backdrop for Le Tour and for the millions of fans who come to experience the Grand Départ. Its landscape continues to inspire a new generation of star cyclists, but it’s for the warmth of our welcome that the people of Yorkshire are best known.
