Sherry received her first camera at age seven, a medium format film camera that belonged to her grandmother. She still has it. Her brother gifted her another on his return from Viet Nam. Hiding behind the camera became a comfort and it never left her side. She learned to develop film and found black and white exposure her favorite. Carter comes from a family of creative people. Her father was a metalsmith, her mother worked at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., and her brother at the Naval Museum in D.C. as well. All three of Carter's children are artists by trade. Art, music, and nature are Sherry's loves. She lives in Fernandina Beach Florida, for now.More articles from this publication:EPIPHANIC BLISS (PLURALITY IN MOTION) by Scott Thomas Outlar 2minpages 132-137GINIA by J. B.
