WELL DONE! DID YOU EVER GET BACK HOME? by J. B. Hogan

Did you ever get back home,

was it as great as you remembered?

Did it take out the longing,

the agitation that you felt?

Was it all that you wanted,

or are you longing still?

Was geography the problem,

or something broken inside?

How long did you have to wait

to find your way back home?

How does it feel there now,

are you happy at last?

Was this really the answer

to what stirred inside –

or just another misdirection

on an uncertain road that never ends?
