Option Choices
Option Choices and Process
When making choices, pupils will be asked to select a maximum of four A levels based on their chosen route of study. Music Specialists are strongly advised to choose three A level subjects, one of which is to be Music. Specialist Mathematicians are expected to study Maths and Further Maths.
The subjects outlined in this booklet are currently what we plan to offer in the academic year 2022-23, however these may be subject to change based on demand and resources.
November
Subject option talks begin. These are an opportunity to find out more detail about the A level subjects that we offer and to ask any questions that you may have.
November/December
You will be invited to a one-to-one interview with a senior member of staff. This is an opportunity to discuss option choices and future aspirations. You will be asked to make initial option choices at this stage.

You will be asked to complete an electronic options form indicated your firm option choices. The deadline for this form is Friday 21st January. Please note that if you miss this deadline we cannot guarantee your choices will be available later.

August
Post GCSE results will be the final opportunity for you to change your subject choices before timetables are published in September. Please note that some subjects may be full and we cannot guarantee that all subjects will be available at this time.
