DOCTORFUNK

From the Northwest United States, a region long known for producing energetic and fresh musical talent, blazes the Emerald City’s latest sensation. Seattle’s own DoctorfunK.

DoctorfunK was established in 1995 and has set the standard for new soul music in the Pacific Northwest. Echoing the legendary passion of famed horn band Tower of Power and that “Bay Area Sound,” this 10-piece ensemble has maintained the tradition and more.

CASCADIA GROOVE

Cascadia Groove is a group of experienced, talented musicians playing a mix of original funky, danceable jazz tunes along with unique versions of memorable covers.

The members are Lance Gibbon (keyboards), Gary Tobin (guitar), Alex Sheldon (drums), Paul Sherman (bass), Keith Stone (tenor saxophone) and Tracy Jones (vocals and sax).

The music of Cascadia Groove is tight and upbeat, bringing smiles to their fans’ faces and movement to the feet. The original tunes are all composed by band leader and guitarist, Gary Tobin. ELLENSBURG BIG BAND

Founded in 2011, the Ellensburg Big Band is an 18 member classic Swing Jazz Band in the tradition of the wonderful dance bands of the 1940’s and 50’s. Featuring favorites from the Glen Miller and Count Basie Bands, they also play a wide variety of jazz standards and modern styles. BILL ANSCHELL STANDARDS TRIO

Pianist Bill Anschell has performed in premiere venues throughout the U.S. and abroad. His concert credits include concerts in many of the leading international jazz festivals.

Anschell was the creator, producer and theme music composer for “JazzSouth,” a syndicated radio program broadcast on more than 200 stations around the world.

Anschell is also highly regarded as a composer; his original pieces have been featured on NBC’s “The West Wing,” HBO’s acclaimed series, “The Wire,” and the CBS series “The Defenders.
