Wendover Youth Centre June update

Wendover Youth Centre will be holding our annual Friends & Supporters’ event on Monday 13 June from 7-9pm at Wendover Youth Centre, Wharf Road, HP22 6HF. We invite anyone who is interested in the Centre and its activities.

At the event we will showcase the work we have been doing over the last year and there will be a number of stalls highlighting what the young people have achieved.

There will be finger food and refreshments available.

The Wendover Society Family Jazz Picnic

10 July, Picket Piece HP22 6NQ Celebrate the Jubilee summer and a return to normality with friends and family at the Wendover Society’s first Jazz Picnic since 2018.

Music will be provided by the talented Melody Room Jazz Band. The venue will open up at 12:30 PM and the music will start at 1:00 PM. The band will play two sets, concluding around 4:00 PM.

Everyone in the community is invited – not just members of the Wendover Society. Bring your blankets, your folding chairs and a great picnic lunch.

The picnic will take place on the grounds of Picket Piece on Hale Lane, about 1/3 of a mile up from Hale Road, with plenty of room for parking. (For those who would like a post code for their sat nav, that code is HP22 6NQ).

Adult tickets for the Jazz Picnic, including a prize draw, are available at www.tinyurl.com/TicketWS. If you prefer a paper application and payment by cheque, a link to the paper booking form is included in this link. Tickets for adults cost £10; children under 14 will be admitted free of charge.

Coming out from under the shadow of the pandemic and in the Queen’s 70 years on the throne, the Wendover Society Jazz Picnic is the perfect opportunity for a real celebration!
