1965 was a good year. People of mutual respect met one another and things clicked...the owner was enthralled with what the Architect’s vision was for the to be built home. The Architect saw a person who shared the passion of honoring the gifts of nature. We are proud to present the collaboration! The mark of Ralph Anderson… whose designs accompany the land without dominating it. Signature windows, vertical emphasis, capturing nature’s veins of color. Supported by Chittock’s gardens, profiling a statuesque prominent 1965 showcase. 4 fireplaces. At the foyer, the center spine bends up to the fire-lit library. Sweeps of lake views unfurl ~ bringing a life of greens inside ~ a compliment to the pure cedar interiors. 1/5 share 50’ remarkable, sunlit wade-in beach…designated moorage. Cay Hills addition wraps its arms around her homes...as a Mother Hen. Embracing the intent. Toasting the past. Dedicated to value of the future. 4

MERCER ISLAND, a city in King County, Washington,
United States. The island is centered in Lake Washington and sited between downtown Seattle and the burgeoning growth East of the lake. The population of 22,720 is a 2013 Estimate from Office of Financial Management.
Located in the Seattle Metropolitan Area, it is the most populated island in a lake within the United States. The ZIP code 98040 is unique to Mercer Island. The City of Mercer Island was incorporated from East Seattle on 5 July 1960 and composed of all the island less the 70 acre (280,000 m²) business district. Just over one month later, 9 August, the Town of Mercer Island developed from that business district. The two municipalities merged as the City of Mercer Island in 1970. Their School District overviews six common schools on the island: three primary schools (Lakeridge Elementary, Island Park Elementary and West Mercer Elementary); one Middle school (Islander Middle School); one High school (Mercer Island High School). In addition, one alternative secondary school (Crest Learning Center). Mercer Island is also home to the St. Monica School(K-8), the French American School of Puget Sound (P-8), and the Northwest Yeshiva High School (9-12). MERCER ISLAND PARKS Mercer Island has 475 acres of parks and open spaces. Mercer Island Parks are open for year-round enjoyment and are the perfect place for a variety of activities like: baseball, soccer, volleyball, having a picnic or taking a walk with the family. Pioneer Park is our largest park, with 113 acres of beautiful forest and 6.6 miles of trails. The Park has been kept in a natural state so that Island residents and other visitors can easily “get out in the woods through the course of their daily lives. Roads divide the park into three distinct quadrants. Located on the northeast end of Mercer Island, Luther Burbank Park features spectacular views of Lake Washington, and has facilities for several water-based activities including swimming, boating and fishing. It is also a large park of 77 acres, and portions of its waterfront and wetlands foster a variety of wildlife such as 155 species of birds, beaver, muskrats and rabbits There are many smaller parks, beach parks and street ends, providing an excellent opportunity for waterfront access and pursuing recreational activites. www.mercergov.org/Page.asp?NavID=328

The facilities, curriculum, instruction, and effective use of technology as a tool for learning are all factors in preparing students to think and succeed globally while using technology as an inherent part of everyday life. The district has more teachers with advanced education degrees than any other district in the Seattle area. It is known to be one of the highest assessment test-scoring districts in the State of Washington, and among the top in the nation. www.misd.k12.wa.us/about/
