It has been more than 20 years since artist and designer Wendy Mink first began her New York City based jewelry design company. Over this time, Wendy Mink Jewelry has evolved from small scale design and manufacturing into a substantial business that combines great quality and workmanship with innovative, eclectic design. Wendy first became inspired to begin her own jewelry company after extensive work and travel through South East Asia. Her travels began with a position working for the World Bank where she gained extensive knowledge of economic development and began developing an immense appreciation of the beauty and craftmanship behind jewelry and textiles associated with women of this area, from traditional wedding dress to everyday clothing and adornment. Wendy Mink formulated her company shortly after returning from the East, quickly earning a solid reputation and securing a place in the competitve jewelry industry. The success of Wendy Mink Jewelry since these early beginnings is due not only to Wendy’s own inspired designs but also to the team of highly skilled Tibetan women who handcraft each piece of jewelry in their Lower East Side based studio. This studio is also home to a team of production and press staff who work closely with Wendy to market and distribute jewelry. The retail store on Orchard Street provides an outlet for customers to view and purchase a tempting selection from recent and past collections.
Wendy’s signature pieces combine aspects of traditional Eastern world jewelry with classic European design. The collections themselves are an ever-changing array of beautifully crafted jewelry that traverse style boundaries and succeed in appealing to a hugely diverse market. Wendy Mink Jewelry is available in many boutiques throughout the USA, Europe, and Japan including well-known department stores, Barneys Japan, Liberty, and Harvey Nichols. In recent years, Wendy Mink Jewelry has received substantial media coverage with appearances in a variety of international publications, including: Vogue, Elle Marie Claire and Harpers Bazaar magazines.
Wendy Mink Jewelry requires credit card payment and a $500 minimum for first time orders. There is no minimum for reorders. For repairs and returns you must call or email Wendy Mink Jewelry for an RA# otherwise it will not be accepted. All items are made to order in house, so please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. After a first time order, you can apply with references for Net 30 terms. To place an order: Please fill out the attached order form and include: style #’s, quantities, prices, billing and shipping info, desired ship date and credit card information. For a custom change in a stone or style, please write an “X” at the end of the style number and write the change you would like to make in the description box. We will do our best to accomodate your needs. For example: IN40X make with chalcedony instead of green amethyst.
