Cabins are now available offering you an authentic insight into the life of the Mekong River, combined with four-star comfort and superior service. With three-and four-night itineraries, we have some great value alternatives to the traditional seven-night Mekong River cruise, our tours are the perfect length to easily add on to an escorted tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. The itineraries have a uniquely scenic focus, passing from the lush green landscapes of Vietnam up to Cambodiaâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s enchanting capital Phnom Penh, cruising for four nights upstream or three nights downstream. When cruising upstream, you will visit Long Xuyen’s floating market by sampan and learn about the multi cultures of the Mekong Delta at the An Giang Museum. As well as following a lesser travelled route along the Mekong, your visit to Tiger Island will immerse you in a truly authentic cultural experience - you’ll meet local people still practicing traditional handicrafts: net weavers, wood carvers, incense makers. Watch the age-old traditional silk fabrication process in the only remaining Silk Village in Tan Chau, using plants and tree bark to dye the fabric. Cruising downstream the itinerary is a little different and will take you to Vam Nao where you will see clay pots traditionally made and explore the area. You will visit Tan Loc Island also called ‘Sweet Island’ which is famous for its orchards. Try some plum wine at a local distillery and visit a traditional ancient house and learn its history. On the last day, discover the famous Cai Rang Floating market in Can Tho by sampan.

All efforts are made to eliminate plastic from the ship including complimentary refillable bottles in the cabins with water stations located on each deck. Waste bins are lined with washable inserts (no plastic bin bags), no plastic straws and no plastic bags or containers used for food delivery. Our aim is to become 100% plastic free.

A/C The Victoria Mekong is equipped with a high-quality marine A/C system, with autonomous in-room control. Should you choose not to use the A/C in your room, you will be offered mosquito nets to place on your windows, if you’d rather choose to keep them open at night.

HOT WATER SYSTEM - SOLAR PANELS The ship is equipped with two hot water heating systems. Solar panels located on the ship’s rooftop deck contribute to a third hot water system. Pump systems and machinery are equipped with backups to ensure that an eventual equipment failure would not affect the operation of the entire ship.

The Victoria Mekong was conceived as a ‘green’ ship, right from the beginning of the project. From construction to operations, our objective has always been to offer the ‘greenest’ ship experience on the Mekong River by implementing best environmental practices.
