DAY 1: ARRIVE CHONGQING

Make your way to Chongqing. Upon Arrival, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

DAY 2: EXPLORE DAZU

Travel by road to Dazu, home to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dazu Rock Carvings. Located in southeast Sichuan Province, Dazu is reputed as ‘the county of rock carving’. The steep hillsides of the Dazu contain an exceptional series of rock carvings dating from the 9th to the 13th-century and are some of the best preserved in China. Here, you’ll find thousands of Buddhist, Taoistand Confucianist idols and symbols carved into rock faces in over 70 sites. Enjoy the day in Dazu before returning to Chongqing. (B,L)
