We’ve highlighted our favourite ones on each tour page in the ‘Authentic Experiences’ box; but for now, here are just a few examples of what you can look forward to…
UROS TRIBE OF LAKE TITICACA
Journey to the unique reed-constructed Islas Uros, found floating on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca. Here you can meet the ancient Uros people who call the islands home. Spend time learning about their way of life, with traditional dancing, cooking and basket weaving.
MBORORÉ ALDEA PEOPLE OF IGUAZU
Learn about the indigenous culture of the Mbororé Aldea people who live alongside the magnificent Iguazu falls. The tribe will welcome you into their community, sharing fascinating stories of ancestors, rituals, myths and legends.
HUILLOC COMMUNITY
Learn about the Huilloc community and immerse yourself in the local culture. Choose how you spend your day by taking part in their collective tasks. Work in the fields, make clothing, see how they educate their children or help prepare for ancestral ceremonies.You’ll also enjoy a tasty and traditional Andean lunch with one of the local families, providing another great chance to see and experience the Quechua way of life.
CACAO PLANTATION
Travel through Ecuador’s fertile tropical coast and learn about the magical ingredient that captivates the world, cacao. Learn how the best cacao powder in the world is produced, and sample some local cuisine.
Spend time on the vast, fertile grassland of Argentina known as the Pampas, on a traditional estancia (ranch). Here you’ll get some insight into the life of folk heroes, the gaucho and feast on a typical asado lunch.
WINE TASTING
The sun-scorched Colchagua Valley is well-known throughout the continent for its excellent wines. Your time here will include various tastings at some of the area’s best wineries and an introduction to the meticulous wine-making process from the local experts, all in the midst of the stunning Andes backdrop.

Joining the party during the Latin American carnival season is an unforgettably joyous experience. Watch the performers in their colourful costumes and sing and dance along with the locals at the Rio de Janeiro carnival – the biggest celebration on the planet!
LATIN AMERICA GASTRONOMY
While on a trip to Latin America you cannot help but immerse yourself into the local gastronomy. Our tours include everything from street food tours and cooking classes to Argentinian asados and Brazilian barbecues. One of our favourite experiences is a visit to the markets in Lima, Peru, to shop for ingredients before cooking up a storm with a local chef for lunch.
