The residences have been placed further inside the site and with their own entry road, for security and privacy. The public and the residential zones have been separated by a green area that serves as a semipublic park. Here, there are small traditional huts for sitting and relaxing, volleyball court, a pond, several seating spaces and a large wide green area that can be easily converted into a public congregational space should the need arise. The residences are of five types - type I, type II, type III, type IV and type VI
The first building upon entering houses the public library, the auditorium and the public restaurant. These facilities have been designed to cater to the office workers as well as the public, ie the residents of the town and the villages nearby. Bamboo, readily found in the state, has been used extensively in the project for cladding, louvres, and decor. fig: view of front facade of auditorium building

The form of the buildings follow the gradual slope of the site. Due to the height restrictions and in an attempt to fit into the context of the gentle hills, the buildings have been spread out on the ground The eastern side has been protected from solar heat gain with louvres made of bamboo which are found abundantly in the region. From this elevation, we can see the step plaza and the green spacs inbetween the buildings meant for the office workers to sit and relax.

The entrance plaza leads into the public library, restaurant and auditorium on the right. There are step plazas on the east and west, where people can wait for events to start while enjoying the view of the surrounding hills. On the left of the entrance plaza, one enters the main lobby of the adminstrative offices, further leading into the offices of the various departments under the deputy commissioner of the district. These departments have been arranged according to the footfall each receives, with the biggest departments the easiest to access. The private office of the deputy commissioner and his subordinates have been kept on the ground floor of the first block with a separate entrance on the left for easy coming and going. The blocks inbetween are mainly for transition and recreation- pantries, meeting rooms, waiting areas, all opening up to green spaces on the ground floor. This has been done to help in the rejuvenation of the office workers.

REDEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNITY CENTRE THE GREEN VISTA VIKASPURI
The aim is to redevelop the existing non-vibrant community centre and redensify the area by adding functions like residential, retail and office. The proposed design aims to create large green spaces and work with minimum cutting of trees. The strategy has been to create a green axis that integrates the spaces within the site to the distric park

SITE PLAN & SITE SECTION
Designing Urban Landscape
Visual Perception of Open Spaces
With the expectations of garnering a high level of footfall, these open spaces should be designed to cater to the needs of the public- be it sitting, waiting, transport, shopping, eating, etc. These transition spaces if designed well, turn to be the main attraction spots.
Club-house OAT
One of the main strategies has been to create a seamless interaction with the open and the green spaces throughout the site. For every built space, there is an adjoining green space for spill-out and activities.

To build a resort in Shoghi, a town in the suburbs of the tourist destination Shimla. This resort aims to provide rejuvenation to the visitors in all seasons, surrounded by the serenity of the mountains and nature.

ROAD INSIDE SITE
One of the most crucial aspects in this project was to take care of the different types of circulation. There are three categories - the guests, the public and the service. It is important that the service circulation does not overlap with the other two. The privacy of the guests cannot be compromised with either.

The double entry lobbies have been done for the two groups of users - the guests who will be staying and the visitors who have come for the banquet hall or dining. The walkway has been designed to be interesting even for the people walking underneath it, in the gardens. The form of the buildings have tried to follow the slope of the site, without one building shading the one adjacent. fig: Sectional Elevation

Since the site is quite steep, most of the functions have been connected on different floors, making use of the difference in levels of the site. Guests and visitors use the lifts of the entrance lobbies to ascend four floors and come out to the banquet hall and dining. The back of house is spread throughout, on different levels and below the public functions for easy circulation while the rooms have been segregated into three buildings.

PONDICHERRY SETTLEMENT STUDY
Understanding French and Tamil Town through Street Study Group work/II YR/IV SEM Ananya - DLSR Rachana - Monu Kumar - Udayshree - Wendy In order to understand the Settlement of Pondicherry, the towns of French and Tamil have been studied.Different streets from these towns are selected on the basis of loaction, activity, context etc. for the street study. As for the academic project our group has studied the VYSIAL STREEET of the TAMIL TOWN. Vysial Street - Rue Calve Subraya Chetty The street came to be known as Vysial Street as the majority of the inhabitants belong to the group ‘Vyshas’. Likewise, it has been named Rue Calve Subraya Chetty after the banker and philanthropist Calve Subraya Chetty. The street also came to be known as Rue Koumati due to trading community “Koumati”.

The exterior facades often feature a street veranda with platform and kean-to-roof over wooden posts - the thalvaram, a social extension of the house and a semii-public portica called the thinnai - is supported by round wooden pillars with masonry benches for visitors These ‘talking streets’ so-called because of their intimate scale and itneractive nature are typical of the vernacular Tamil architecture and the entire street stretch is homogenous because of connecting elements. Inside, the ground floor is usually of the Tamil type with thinnai, thalvaram and carved doors, while the first floor displays Frnech influence showing pilasters, columns with capitals, arched windows, plaster decorations and end-ornament elements.

DIGITAL COLLAGES ILLUSTRATION since young, books have always fascinated me. i could get lost in the world of words, reality drifting away. i dreamt of creating such worlds - i started off with stories revolving around subjects that piqued my interest at the time, from periodicals to fairies and elves to stories of the heart, all written along extra school notebooks, filling up the pages and even around the margins. the subjects have changed throughout the years and so did the style, going through stages of evolution. despite the decreasing number of stories, my love for words has not dwindled which my overflowing bookshelf and journals can testify, i have come onto the realization that what i’ve been dreaming all along is to create worlds. photographs, illustrations, collages; i am no master my sketching skills are just enough to get the point across, my painting skills fare no better, my bullet journal spreads are all that i can achieve with my doodling skills. yet i’ve started to love tracing over figures, overlapping them with other beautiful pieces i have found on the world wide web and making new worlds. i have eons more to reach but here is a little peek inside.
thank you.
