The durable and ,ghtly hand-‐woven baskets are made of Milulu grass, a reed-‐like swamp grass, in Iringa, Tanzania, home of the Hehe people. Because of the excep,onally good weaving quality, and the wonderful quali,es of Milulu grass, the simple designs of Iringa baskets are perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.

Kikoi Victoria and Agnes baskets are woven by a widow group near lake Victoria in Kenya. The river grass comes from the famous Sondu Miriu river, and the river grass used for the weaving is generally called the ‘Miriu grass’.
