● Eaton 600 VDC Per-Pole Solar Disconnect Switch The Eaton 600 VDC Per-Pole Solar Disconnect Switch is the market’s first UL® Listed 600 VDC per pole, bi-directional disconnect. Listed to the UL 98B standard, this design has the capacity to switch multiple circuits of up to 600 VDC each. Eaton uses magnetic fields created with the use of permanent magnets to stretch the arc. These products are not polarity sensitive, so they can be used on either negative or positive grounded systems. They provide protection regardless of whether the current flow is in the “normal” direction or reverse (possible due to miswiring or under a fault condition). Operators benefit from using Eaton’s K-switch base and mechanism because of the visible means of disconnect when the switch handle is in the OFF position. CASE STUDY
Just the Ticket for More Efficient Replenishment A solar contractor was looking for a supplier that could match their current and future geographic footprint and provide a system to enable their drivers to order supplies from the road. The supplier would also need to ensure warehouse stock was always available to serve the customer’s daily replenishment needs. We designed a solution that would scale with the contractor’s growth, implement inventory control, and apply job costing. It uses our proprietary eStock software to provide a pick ticket
system to manage a combination of WESCO supplied and customer-owned material. As a result of improved material allocations and usage visibility, the customer was able to reduce on-hand inventory in their own warehouses from a one-month supply to one week.
