Welcome

to the Western Design Conference Designer Show House, an exciting addition to our 23rd annual WDC Exhibit + Sale where juried artists’ creations and custom interior design are integrated into a home environment. We have invited a select group of local interior designers to create any type of room they desired and many are highlighting the work of the talented artists at this year’s WDC Exhibit + Sale. We want to thank all the designers who are supporting, participating, and collaborating in this exhibition showcasing the best of Western art and design. Their talent, expertise, and hard work make this addition to the Exhibit + Sale possible. A special thank you to Rush Jenkins of WRJ Design Associates is due for his creation of the Designer Show House floor plan and exterior scrim. The scrim is a life-size image of a Jackson Hole residence designed by JLF & Associates and built by Big D Signature. Each designer room will feature a wine pairing from the Dark Horse collection. Six unique varietals are presented throughout the four days. And to our sponsors, LintonBingle Associate Brokers and Spring Creek Ranch, our deep gratitude for their support and belief in our purpose - celebrating and showing the world the enormous creativity and talent of our artists who are inspired by the breathtaking beauty and spirit of the American West.

Foyer WRJ Design Associates

It is their love of the West and the Tetons’ natural beauty that brought WRJ Design Associates to Jackson Hole from Manhattan. Their extensive experience and expertise in European and American art, antiques, and architecture, as well as interior and exhibition design, are evident in the classic sophistication and natural luxury of the interiors they create. Working in close collaboration with their clients and a team of professionals, the end result is an interior that is elegant, personal and reflective of the natural beauty of the surroundings. The foyer by WRJ Design not only welcomes visitors to the Designer Show House but also provides a place of refuge amid the sensory cornucopia of the conference. Channeling the firm’s two muses – design and nature – the foyer presents harmonious juxtapositions: rustic and contemporary; relaxed and refined; a reclaimed wood wall paired with a luscious Poltrona Frau leather sofa. Joining in the Western Design Conference’s celebration of Western inspiration, the foyer features work by local artists and artisans and introduces visitors to the intrigue of interior design.

Dining Room EK Reedy Interiors

Located in Jackson Hole, EK Reedy Interiors works with residential clients from Manhattan to Scottsdale, clients who appreciate their focus on both the functional and beautiful aspects of a space. For EK Reedy, it is the client’s participation, needs, and expression that direct their design concepts and the West that inspires their creativity and colorful palettes. For the Western Design Conference Designer Show House, EK Reedy creates a room to “Bring Back the Dining.” This ideal dining room stimulates all the senses – visual, sound, touch, scent, and taste – and is a space to gather with family and friends, share good food, laughter, stories and memories. At the center of this well-appointed dining room is a beautiful natural wood table surrounded by quilted leather chairs and a natural hide bench. The desire to linger and enjoy the moment is enhanced by the lush textures of the comfortable seating, the soft color palette of the walls and draperies, and the complimentary illumination of the chandelier. With the addition of art, the mind and soul are nourished as the body is by the exquisite food served. Bon Appétit! Kathy Reedy 4010 W. Bedroom Victoria Scarlett Interior Designs

Victoria Scarlett’s background and extensive experience in hospitality design around the world and residential design in the mountain West is beautifully displayed in the bedroom she has created for the Western Design Conference Designer Show House. A bedroom with a little bling, a hint of Western with a lot of movement and the use of many textures all work together to transform the space into an inviting contemporary bedroom. The sophisticated natural palette is grounded with just the right amount of dark wood, producing the tranquility conducive to the perfect chamber for slumber. For this bedroom Victoria Scarlett worked with Matthias Janke of Old World Antique Reproductions, simplifying the details for a contemporary feel and keeping the exceptional quality and fine finishes. The breathtaking workmanship of Jeanne DeHart of The Needle’s Point, a master seamstress, is apparent in the bedspread, pillows and window treatment. John Bickner of Onyx and Antler created unique onyx lamps that are functional as well as sculptural works of art. A painting by Michelle Julene, a previous WDC fashion award winner, adds movement and a sophisticated splash to this elegant and luxurious bedroom. VICTORIA SCARLETT INTERIOR DESIGNS

The staff of Fighting Bear led by Terry and his wife Claudia Bonnist Winchell includes Chris Moran, Cheryl Frey, Gaylen Merrell, and Greg Merrell.
