KAIMKILLENBUN

BELL Located 40km North-East of Dalby, Bell is a picturesque township nestled in the foothills of the Bunya Mountains offering panoramic views.

Located 24km North-East of Dalby, Kaimkillenbun is recognised as the town with the longest single name in Queensland. Kaimkillenbun is a local aboriginal word signifying the rim of the moon coming over the horizon. It will come as no surprise that the locals have shortened their town’s name and now fondly refer to it as, ‘The Bun’. Built in 1911 by local farmer Edwin Higgs, Kaimkillenbun’s local watering hole ‘The Bun Pub’ is an iconic and historic pub that is popular with locals and visitors alike. In 1983, this quaint old pub was the setting for the movie, ‘Chase Through the Night’ which features now famous actress, Nicole Kidman. For more detailed information on what Kaimkillenbun has to offer, please contact the Dalby Visitor Information Centre. DESTINATIONS  Kaimkillenbun Pub  Kaimkillenbun War Memorial
