Located 48km North of Dalby, Jandowae is surrounded by rich alluvial soil which produces some of Queensland’s finest grain crops. Visitors to Jandowae can view the northern end of the Dingo Barrier Fence, which is the longest fence in the world. At one time sawmills played an important role in this small community and this is celebrated biennially with the Jandowae Timbertown Festival.
A trip to Jimbour would not be complete without a visit to Jimbour Station; home to the magnificent heritage-listed Jimbour House, one of the nation’s most gracious historical homes. Jandowae Timbertown Festival
Visitors can access a number of scenic drives from Jandowae, including the Dingo Barrier Fence Drive. There are also a number of birding trails for birdwatching enthuisiasts. WARRA Warra is the centre of a grain, sorghum and cotton growing area. Tourist attractions include the restored railway station and the great atmosphere of country race days.
