2011 WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS:

2011 MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS:

• Sophomore Chelsea Lynes earned the SIU-Edwardsville Cross Country Challenge individual title for her 18:44.01 5K performance.

• Sophomore Michael Castel earned Second Team All-League honors and qualified for the NCAA Midwest Regional for his 10th place finish at the 2011 Summit League Championships. Castel also ran to an individual title at the SIU-Edwardsville Cross Country Challenge and a runner-up finish at the Bradley Open.

• Also at the SIU-Edwardsville Cross Country Challenge, junior Alycia Thurston contributed a 10th place finish individually with a 5K time of 19:36.91. 10

• Fellow sophomore Zach Wiedeman earned a 10th place finish at the Bradley Open.

• At Bradley, Beauchem coached 35 AllMissouri Valley Conference performers (12 in cross country), three NCAA Championship qualifiers and 10 individuals who won conference track and field titles. • Mary Ellen Hill, one of the three NCAA Championship qualifiers Beauchem coached, advanced to the national meet on six occasions.

• 1998 MVC Cross Country Coach of the Year. Coached the Bradley women to the conference championship that season. • Oversaw Bradley playing host to three NCAA Midwest Cross Country Regional meets. • Served a two-year term with the NCAA Division I Track and Field Committee from 2008-2010. • From 2000-06, served as Treasurer for the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA).

ATHLETIC CAREER • Earned two All-Region awards • Southern Illinois University - after top-20 finishes in the 2006 and 2006-09 2007 NCAA Midwest Cross Country Regionals.

• Won the MVC cross country title in 2006, was named MVC Cross Country Athlete of the Week twice in 2007 and finished 77th at the 2007 NCAA Cross Country National Championships. • Excelled in the classroom as he earned an MVC Scholar-Athlete award in 2007.
