 Implemented wire-framing and redesign of backend client portal and application interfaces and deployed significant new feature enhancements to Communicator.  Integrated a new, open-source online document management system, Knowledgetree DMS, into the business product offering.

Consulting Project Manager Telstra eBusiness Services Pty Ltd (TeBS) / EbixExchange Australia Pty Ltd 14 September 2007 to 31 January 2008  Corona Project ~$1.5M, Project Team = 11 Managed the design, build and delivery of an industry-first web-enabled, auto-rated business insurance application within an extremely condensed timeframe. Leveraged .Net 2.0 and Ajax technologies to deliver full policy lifecycle transactions across multiple risk classes and broking systems.

Challenges/ Complexities

 Engaged 3-weeks after formal project kick-off and quickly established key project infrastructure to identify, plan and drive the team towards delivery of approximately 50% of the projects functional scope within an aggressive pre-Xmas timeframe (21/12/07).  Project team was incomplete upon engagement, which meant that existing resources were tasked with additional responsibilities to interview candidates as well as produce deliverables in-line with project timelines.

Achievements / Outcomes

 Produced and attained sign-off on key project documentation including Statement of Works, Charter, Project Plan and Test Strategy within the first 1.5 weeks after engagement which facilitated earlier project sign-off by the client and expedited external engagement of project resources.  Rapidly organised, verified and condensed approx 5 months of developer and project team effort into 3 months using agile development and sequencing methodologies in combination with smart leveraging of internal resources within the company.  Designed & executed a solution delivering core business specifications and functionality, ie ‘New Quote’, to client within the original pre-Xmas deadline (ie 21/12/07) despite ongoing scope-changes. ‘New Quote’ established foundational and core components of the Corona application (accounting for approx 50% of project development effort) and enabling early client access for UAT and legacy integration activity. NB: Telstra eBusiness Services was bought by Ebix, a fast-growing US-based global insurance software company at the end December 2007 that saw both permanent and contract TeBS personnel replaced with Ebix employees. Achievements

 Produced, piloted and delivered to market a unique, commercial online web application, ApartmentSUITE* Communicator, specifically designed to facilitate the meeting, governance and distribution needs of residential strata schemes across Australia and New Zealand. Communicator is an online SaaS application used by residential strata schemes and property management professionals to produce and deliver formal meeting notifications/agenda/minutes and branded communications to owners and stakeholders instantly via email.

Senior Project Manager (permanent employment) Hyro Limited 1 March 2006 to 13 October 2006 Hired into Hyro as senior project manager to provide consultancy style project leadership across two of Hyro’s national key accounts, ie. Lion Nathan and QBE Insurance. Key projects included:  Lion Nathan Corporate Website Redevelopment ~$260K, Project Team = 8 Managed the redevelopment and implementation of Lion Nathan’s corporate website to drive better, more engaging online communication of the Lion Nathan corporate, brand and employment identities.  QBE Corporate Intranet Redevelopment, Discovery Phase ~$500K, Project Team = 12 Managed the redevelopment of QBE’s APACE divisional intranet redevelopment project using Stellent ECMS to consolidate 9 sub-site intranets into a single aggregated ‘OneQBE’ framework. Secondary objectives included establishing a new information architecture and implement unified toolsets to promote a foundation for knowledge sharing to act is a single, trusted source of information and content across the QBE organisation.

Challenges/ Complexities

 Sales growth within Hyro created serious bottlenecks in available resourcing resulting in frequent ‘hi-jacking’ of reserved project resources to other projects by account executives and directors.  Accountability of senior management to act responsibly on resourcing shortages.  Limited training and consultancy experience in junior project personnel.

Achievements / Outcomes

Lion Nathan  Managed the delivery of the new, re-skinned, content-driven Lion Nathan corporate website which generated greater consumer traffic and elevated it’s online brand presence placing it favourably among its FMCG peers in the top ASX100.  Produced, delivered and obtained sign-off on proposed solution (in consultation with Lion Nathan IT) for the adoption of a new content management platform across Lion Nathan Australia.  Facilitated adoption of a new business model for Lion Nathan Corporate that enabled them to move to a decentralised enterprise content management model, implement workflow practices, reassign content

CCA Self Serve Project – B2B Online Ordering ~$739K, Project Team = 51 (www.cokeconnect.com.au)  Managed the end-to-end design, development and execution of a solution to engage CCA customers electronically via a full-service B2B web ordering site, CokeConnect.
