This book is dedicated to my father who shared his passion and appreciation for the pioneers of rock n roll.

FO RWAR D The development of this collection, Fifty Elvis Fans Can Be Wrong, was conceived en route to Memphis, Tennessee on Highway 61 the summer of 1995 and finished the summer of 2010. My idea was to capture the essence of Elvis Presley that common people would conjure up when having their portrait taken wearing the signature-style sunglasses that Elvis donned. The completed piece is comprised of two framed panels, each with a grid that consists of 25 Polaroid photographs. This book provides a closer look at each individual portrait. I found it so interesting to see the kind of pose, facial expression, and gesture each subject made when I asked him or her to give me Elvis. (“Lucy is the only non-intentional pose.) Many surprised me. My sincerest thanks to those featured in this piece as well as to the many more who posed for me. Enjoy Weston Morris 2011
