WINDSURFING WAV E
RADICAL WAVE Our Fanatic Waveboards are renowned for their fast and sporty ride, their ease and wide range of use and their unlimited radicalness if you dare to go for it. For 2016 we have redesigned the range of radical wave shapes and extended the horizon with a brand new addition, the Stubby TE, a super compact parallel rail concept with an amazingly easy and stable ride, spiced with a skaty and slashy surf style. Two sizes – 77 and 88 – will refresh your perspective. Looking for full rail carving style? Then the Quad is your weapon of choice. Four sizes from 69 to 90 make your dreams come true. The TriWave and its four sizes from 74 to 99 got our design team’s full attention for a 24 month of development period. The result is an even easier‚ get on and fly feel, combined with more responsive turning, crazy early and fast planing abilities and insane airtime when it comes to jumps. Surely one of the most versatile Windsurfboards around is our famous FreeWave in its five sizes and multiple constructions. From flat water to bump & jump and riding waves with a surfy Multi Fin feel, the FreeWave does it all. All our Wave and FreeWave models have weight saving layups with zero compromise to the solid and crisp top Fanatic quality you’d expect.

MAUI PHOTO SHOOT “On paper the photo shoot for the 2016 Fanatic catalogue is the sort of assignment that most photographers would cut off their trigger finger to score the gig. Same goes for all the riders involved; being part of a major photo shoot is surely one of the major lures of turning pro. A free ticket to the worlds mecca of windsurfing, blasting around on the latest brand kit right behind the likes of Alice Arutkin in her skimpy swimsuit, shredding the waves at Ho’okipa while a chopper is buzzing around overhead and by the end of the shoot, be issued with a shed load of awesome pics of yourself to nurse your already inflated ego!”
JOHN CARTER
13
A TYPICAL DAY So how does a typical day work at the Fanatic shoot? It actually starts the night before checking the weather for the upcoming days. Obviously if there is decent swell coming then waves are the priority or if its howling windy, jumping is an option too and if its flat and moderate trades then Freeride or Race might be the call. So once a rough plan is made, an email goes out to all the riders informing them where, when and what. On most locations, you are not allowed to windsurf before eleven so it usually means meeting somewhere by ten am to start rigging and making sure everything is ready so we can be out on the water right on the dot, so the action can start and mostly only ends when the sun goes down.
LOCATION Why Maui? Maui is a very productive location to work, as you have mostly ideal and dependable conditions, with many team riders being there in spring for training, qualified helicopter pilots for the tricky and windy shoots, as well as the infrastructure needed for getting the gear shipped in and out. Many other locations offer some of those points, but none can offer all, especially regarding the logistics / dependable conditions.

“A massive photo shoot is a
SHED LOAD OF VERY HARD WORK
“I’m going to put it out there straight away;
THE FANATIC PHOTO SHOOT IS THE BEST ONE to take part in! We have an amazing team, everyone loves windsurfing, there are no egos and what at times could be a drag is normally actually a lot of fun!”
and aside from the fun part of actually taking the shots there are countless of hours on the dreaded computer editing. But everything said and done, the shoot can be such an adrenaline buzz, amazing fun, a privilege to be working with these worldclass athletes and of course you are being paid for it! The Fanatic team really is a great bunch of guys and over the years we have all become close friends which makes the whole work side of things far more enjoyable!”
ADAM LEWIS
“I try to not have pressure as I sail better without but sometimes in one hour of helicopter photo shoot I feel I need to land at least some good moves, especially for the video. I try to sail as if I am free sailing but sometimes it almost feels like a competition where I have to push myself as the other team riders are also going for it under the helicopter! When I see everyone trying crazy stuff, I really like it.” VICTOR FERNANDEZ
“ I’M PROUD TO B E PART OF THE S HOOTING with all these amazing sailors next to me! I don’t mind at all to be the ›bikini girl‹ for some of the pictures. I’m the girl, I have to take advantage what I have and make the pictures that the others cannot!”
ALICE ARUTKIN
JOHN CARTER
END OF THE DAY So come the end of the day, when all the riders are heading out to dinner or relaxing at home, that is when the real work starts for the photographer and cameraman. First up all the compact flash cards have to be loaded onto a hard drive, all files renamed, and then the editing starts. During a busy shooting day you can easily be shooting several thousand shots so if you don’t keep on top of the editing process, the workload can easily build into a ridiculous mountain of work and it can be almost impossible to catch up.

CAD SHAPING
Fanatic has an Ocean Minded ethos; protect what you love, which is why every board proudly displays the Fanatic Ocean Minded Logo. We promise to build boards for a greener environment, using ethically sourced and sustainable raw materials wherever possible. Fanatic is one of the few brands to use eco friendly Cork. Our mission is to improve our manufacturing process by constantly fine tuning and researching our construction techniques, packaging materials and distribution methods – all for a fresh Fanatic future.
Whilst creating new products, our primary goal is to reduce ecological impacts on the environment and use ethically sourced raw materials. Advancing in our construction techniques, significant performance gains have been achieved. In 2016 we continue to use the ultra stiff, impact resistant Innegra instead of Kevlar for lighter layups, and maintain the use of recyclable Basalt, Bamboo and Cork.
Sebastian Wenzel has achieved great things in his shaping career and with over a decade of CAD experience under his belt, there is no question that he is one of the leading experts on computer aided board design. CAD shaping provides board builders with a platform to accomplish unprecedented levels of precision in the designs they produce and Sebastian does just that. CAD also allows us to store every board built since 2004 on a digital data base so we can evolve, push boundaries and innovate, rather than recreate. Sebastian’s decades of board building knowledge and experience is funnelled into every design created. Through Sebastian’s lead and the collaboration of every Fanatic team member, we continue to build on our already existing library of facts, figures, successful shapes, proven rocker lines, volume flows and rail lines. As we advance it’s clear to see that Fanatic CAD shaping techniques work as our boards keep getting better. FACT.

Lightweight. Stiff. Incredible. The TeXtreme® line is the most exclusive, highperformance construction in windsurfing today. Available in select-model Fanatic boards, the TeXtreme® takes advantage of Innegra’s resin absorption ability, weight-reduction, stiffness, impact protection and UV-resistance. The Oxeon-built fabric allows incredibly light PVC Sandwich layups, with the added bonus of fully visible carbon rail and bottom graphics. High-quality full Innegra Carbon on the rest of the deck round out the TeXtreme® construction to create the strongest, lightest, stiffest board on the market. Less resin, more strength, less weight. Innegra Carbon will be used again on the 2016 Waveand TE Freestyleboards. After the resounding success of using Innegra Carbon material in our TE boards the last 2 seasons, we once again are confidant to say that this material is lighter and more impact resistant than the Carbon Kevlar it has replaced, with better UV properties too. Combined with double PVC / Wood Sandwich and Wood / Carbon heel reinforcements, it guarantees the most efficient construction in terms of weight and maximum impact resistance. The Waveboards benefit from Innegra Carbon Sandwich layups. The Skate TE has a Single Sandwich deck of Innegra Carbon and a Carbon or Glass bottom. Each TE model is produced with the Light Finish look, where the primary board color gets mixed into the laminating resin, for extra weight reduction.
The top-level Innegra Carbon specification, in combination with the Cork Sandwich construction, provides a perfect weight to stiffness / flex ratio. The Sandwich combination with environment-friendly Cork Sandwich technology and local glassed reinforcement provides a perfect shock absorption in the stance area. On the bases of the LTD boards Fanatic features the innovative Basalt cloth, a material that is not only technically superior to standard cloth, but also environment-friendlier in both its manufacturing and recycling processes. All these models are produced with the Light Finish look, where the primary board color gets mixed into the laminating resin, for extra weight reduction.

Top quality and high-tech specification Biax Carbon has a perfect weight to stiffness ratio as a result of its very fine weave, plus has fantastic dynamic flex. Full Biax Carbon is used on the decks and bottoms of the bigger Falcons TE and Falcon Formula for maximum stiffness and lightest possible weight. Whilst on the smaller Falcons (90 & 99 liters) it is used only in the deck area for a better flexibility of the boards in choppy conditions. Combined with PVC Sandwich technology and Glass reinforcements, the Biax Carbon provides a perfect stiffness / flex / weight ratio on the Falcon Slalom, Speed and Formula lines.
A specific combination of top quality Biax Glass fabrics combined with PVC and Wood layers on the deck and bottom provides optimised durability for the standard Skates and the Falcon models. The Light Finish helps to reach an excellent weight-to-price ratio.
7 Super light EPS Foam
A lightweight yet robust Wood and Glass fiber construction allows a very high strength-to-weight ratio. Combined with the Double Sandwich construction, this is an extremely durable layup. The thick PVC Sandwich, Wood and Fiberglass easily absorb high forces, even from the hardest landings! This construction is used on standard FreeWave models.
The Bamboo Sandwich Light Finish technology is a combination of top quality and intelligent layup specifications, Bamboo Sandwich and Glass / Wood reinforcements. This unique construction offers extremely competitive weights at value prices. Used for the Hawk and Gecko models, with the clear visible Bamboo material in the deck.

High Resistance composite technology – an optimum weight and durable construction for everyday use. A thick, durable outer skin gives the board hull high strength, plus ding and impact resistance. Strategic use of Glass reinforcements ensures an adequate stiffness. Used on the standard Gecko, as well as on the Viper / Ripper ranges in combination with a user-friendly EVA deck.
Built to last. Our Double Layer (HD) Technology is an inflatable construction for heavy duty usage. A triple layer rail construction (Viper Air only) ensures better stiffness and durability. For the Ripper Air Windsurf we use a Double Layer rail construction only to save some weight. Stiffness and performance is guaranteed, as the Double Layer HD Technology takes more than 20 PSI of air pressure if needed.

CLASSIC WAVE CONCEPT
E

I
Interview with Fanatic Wave R&D Manager Klaas Voget on the new Stubby TE:
A
L
STUBBY CONCEPT
Classic outline offers more length, which is forgiving in certain manoeuvres, jumps and choppy conditions. Curvier rails support turning, narrow tail offers control and grip also with smaller fins.
Narrow center width and parallel rails offer great speed and stability in turns, compact length and stance gives a new sensation in turns and moves.
REDUCED LENGTH Very wide nose and tail sections allow for shorter overall length, which reduces the boards swing weight, resulting in fast reactions and quick rotations.
PARALLEL RAILS Narrow in the center, wide in tail and nose. The straighter rail outline results in a reduction of drag and increases the effective rail length that gets used in the turns for great stability and control.
TRIM AND STANCE A fast rocker line guarantees early planing and speed, while the trim with the back foot right on the tail offers quick and tight turning.
UPWIND PERFORMANCE The wide tail allows for larger fins, resulting in unbeatable lift and upwind abilities.
Describe what the concept is behind this board and how the idea came about. If you look at the board, it’s obvious that the idea comes from surfing. There has been a lot of exploring with more parallel rails concepts in the suring world, Firewires Vanguard is probably the most popular example. Sebastian Wenzel and I were looking into these concepts for quite some time, but the actual input for our first board came from inside the Boards & More group. When I was in Cape Town in January 2014, I was talking to the R&D Team of North Kiteboarding and the guys showed me their latest protos and told me what they feel like. Their excitement about them gave the initial push to actually build a Windsurfboard with a similar idea. The much wider tail and nose gives a lot more stability to the board, planing or non planing, while the straighter rails give stability in the turns, as they maximize the effective rail line to its functional length. The straighter waterflow around the board produces less drag compared to a rounder outline, which increases the speed. The nose is almost like chopped off, as the area that would continue for a regular pointy nose doesn’t have much function, but would give more lenghts and weight to the board. Basicly the idea behind this nose is to reduce the boards lenghts to it’s functional minimum and reduce the swing weight of the nose area. You
can feel this in spinning moves and turns, that the board is more reactive and changes direction very fast. In windsurfing we have completely different forces working onto the board and the fins compared to surfing. The board doesn’t just have to work on a wave, it also has to perform in a straight line and in jumps. That’s why you cannot just scale up a Surfboard with this concept. Sebastian and I started working on it right after that Cape Town trip and after a lot of Brainstorming we finally had the first proto in the water in Maui end of March – and this first test left such an impression, that we kept the R&D totally secret from there. Was it difficult to get it working? I think our initial and very intense research, plus the input from North Kiteboarding, in combination with the huge database of shapes that Sebastian built over the years is the reason that the first board we built was already very impressive. It took me one change to the finset and 15 minutes testing and I said to Sebastian that this was one of the most fun boards I’ve ever tried. We’ve built seven prototypes in total, but before going into the second one, we made changes to the first proto step be step. The total process took more than a year. How does it sail and what would you say are its strengths? First impression is, that it’s planing very early and is very fast and free. The board sits on the water super comfortable and the stance – with the back foot basicly right on the tail – feels natural and not as weird
as you would expect. As the tail is so wide, we use a fairly large center fin, that gives an incredible upwind performance and lets you go in an angle you’ve never sailed before on a Waveboard. The short nose doesn’t catch, as it’s just high and wide enough to be always out of the water or lift you out after the turns. These abilities alone make it the ultimate weapon in cross-onshore conditions, but even the turns feel special. As the tail is so wide, you’d expect to not be able to turn, but as your backfoot is located right on the tail, you actually can. The bottom turn seems effortless and very controlled as you have a lot of rail in the water. When you hit a breaking lip with the Stubby, it has an incredible tail release and lift off the tail that throws a huge amount of spray. Wave moves like Takas, Backside360s etc. feel very easy and fast, as the wide tail offers a huge amount of pop and the short length just rotates faster than a regular board. Is it just for specialist conditions or advanced riders? Who should buy it? The exceptional thing is it’s ease of use especially in less ideal conditions, so it’s not at all just for specialists. It’s just so fun to sail. You can snap it around like a little Skateboard, but still have such a good balance and easy planing on it. Everyone who loves wavesailing should have a go on the Stubby to feel what i’m talking about. I think I’m going to use these boards a lot in most places I sail in. From the Canaries to Denmark and the Baltic Sea – even in Hookipa.

For 2016, we took the most radical Waveboard within the Fanatic range to the next level. Highly desirable to riders driven by full rail carves, late turns and radical down-the-line wavesailing. If that’s you, the all-new 2016 Quad represents what your dreams are made of. Inspired by some of the latest custom Quads of our World Cup team, we found the perfect blend of rocker line and bottom shape that our riders referred to as the magic rocker. Featuring the new flat spot concept – an innovative placement of curved and straight areas – aimed to enhance planing power and speed. This combined with adjustments to the outline and trim, results in a Waveboard with radical turning abilities, yet still maintains planing power, control and ease of use to get the juices flowing even in a choppy cross-on shore beach break. The concave / double concave bottom shape matches the drive, speed and smooth surfy feel of our complementary Choco fins quad fin setup. The all new Quad family comes in four sizes: From the smallest of 69, through to the floaty 90.

Compared to the TriWave, the Quad has a more front-foot style of riding, allowing for a fluid full rail carving style and tight turns under the lip, with maximum drive and full grip. While you ride more on the back foot and a little more upright on the TriWave, you are able to fully lean into the turn and trust in your rails and fins with the Quad. The Quad prefers to be ridden under the lip and loves to transfer the push of the wave into speed. With its superb control and speed, the Quad also likes jumping, but comes into its own and excels when riding waves.

The best kept secret in the windsurfing scene. This exciting new parallel rails concept with a super compact length surprises with speed, planing stability and ease of use. After lots of prototypes, countless hours of secret joy and just fun sailing, we’re proud to present the Stubby in two sizes: 77 and 88. Our R&D Team worked the entire year during 2014 secretly on a new and exciting concept. The idea to experiment with more parallel rail outlines and a reduction to the board’s functional minimum draw a lot of attention in the surfing world lately. Characteristics such as speed & stability combined with loose turning and minimized swing weight made us try a transformation of these ideas into dimensions of a Windsurfboard. With instant excitement, we decided to evolve this project secretly and unleash it as a nice surprise. Stepping on the Stubby for the first time eliminates any doubts in an instant and refreshes your perspective on board design. The wide double diamond tail features a channel for extra grip and drive, the large MFC Tri Fin set supports tight turning and offers incredible lift and upwind performance. While the tail and nose sections are extremely wide, the center of the board is narrower, giving a clean water flow and reduced drag. In combination with the V bottom with slight double concaves, the Stubby is extremely fast and controlled. Once catching your first wave, the longer effective rail line comes into play and gives you a new sensation of stability in the bottom turn, while the stance far back on the wide tail allows for fast and tight reactions and turns. Due to a rocker line, that is adapted to the boards length and it’s trim, the wide nose always recovers, even after a steep re-entry. With its speed and control on the way out the Stubby offers solid jumping performance as well. Almost everything with this board is new, also the sensation it gives you. It doesn’t matter in which conditions you feel at home, if waist high crossonshore or mast high and sideshore: If you’re looking for something new – a package of pure fun and motivation – you have to try the Stubby!

The Stubby comes with a different feel to the other two Waveboards we offer. Its planing capabilities are not far off the TriWave and with a more backfooted style it also rides closer to the TriWave than the Quad, which rides more front footed. But with its super wide tail, the Stubby still has a totally different way of turning compared to the TriWave. If you’re happy with a classic ride and want the next step up from your FreeWave, the TriWave with its classic outline and incredible jumping potential is a top choice for you. If you’re already a long time wave sailor coming from a Quad or TriWave style board and want progression and spice your waveriding with a different style, the Stubby will be pure joy for you.

It might sound too good to be true, but the 2016 TriWave is faster, earlier to plane and even better once on the wave in comparison to its predecessor. A Waveboard that’s guaranteed to perform wherever you go or whatever the waves look like, the light crisp feel is combined with tons of radness on the wave or in the air. Dubbed The Rocket Ship throughout the R&D process – due to it being an allconditions wave weapon – the prototypes of the new TriWave line were used during the 2014 PWA Wave World Tour by Fanatic riders. Not only that, but the combination of board and rider swept up World Cup wins and several top 10 results in the Euro events of the tour. Its incredible planing abilities makes the TriWave the first choice for those riders looking to have a fuss-free blast, regardless of how high the jump or technicality behind the move. The 2016 TriWave offers optimum early planing and easy of use vs. premium wave performance and turning ratio we’ve ever built. We’ve achieved this via the straighter rocker line, in combination with our flat spot concept – an innovative placement of curved and straight areas – untied with a double concave V bottom shape, and overall trim moved backwards. The new TriWave comes in four sizes from 74 to 99 and is complemented with an MFC Thruster set as the perfect match for an unbeatable package.

The ride is a little more back-footed when compared to the Quad, giving lots of lift off the back fin and plenty of planing power to get you through the flat sections – even in onshore conditions. The turning style is more snappy with the TriWave when compared to the more carving oriented and fluid full rail style of the Quad. With its planing power and speed, the TriWave is not only the board for big hits and wave tricks, it also thrives on airtime and is the ultimate rocket for jumping.

The Fanatic FreeWave goes into its 12th season, and is the benchmark for one of the most versatile and sought after boards on the market. Our endless hunger to find the best possible mix of wave performance and flat water abilities led to an R&D process that lifts the Fanatic FreeWave into a class of its own. Improving a winner isn’t easy. It might seem as though we are resting on our success with this range, but in reality we can’t find anything that represents the FreeWave category better than its existing shape. With a compact outline, snappy fish tail, flat deck shape and smooth rails, incredible easy wave performance is guaranteed. The powerful bottom shape, slight V and double concave, when combined with the board’s quick rocker line, ensure outstanding speed and early planing performance on flat water and across chop. The FreeWave is available in five sizes, a variety of different constructions and new, polished on trend graphics. With the focus on versatility, the exclusive FreeWave TeXtreme® and the FreeWave TE can be setup as a Thruster for the Multi Fin wave experience, or ridden as a Single Fin for planing power, lift and speed.

Look no further! The Skate is the ultimate in Freestyle windsurfing, and this year it has taken another step forward so you can unleash your repertoire of tricks in a faster, more powerful fashion than ever before. With six World Titles under its belt, the Skate is THE choice for unlimited and infinite Freestyle action. With fine adjustments to the tail shape, our team rider, six times Freestyle World Champion Gollito Estredo, has managed to further improve the Skate TE’s already outstanding acceleration. Every gust will get you up to speed in an instant and will have you popping to great heights – the basis of optimum airtime for double rotations. The bigger sizes of the new Skate feel more lively and exciting without losing the benefits of their volume. With the reverse length concept – larger sizes are shorter than the smaller ones – every size matches the conditions most sailed in perfectly. The super quick rocker and power V bottom shape is the foundation for incredible speed and early planing. The rounded nose offers a smooth transition from aerial moves into sliding tricks. The definition of the rails ensures superior carving characteristics, as well as control and an easy entry into sliding moves. An integrated arch support in the tail pad combined with light yet strong Innegra Carbon construction, rounds up the sensation and excellence you’d expect from the board of a World Champion. Freestyle newbies can enjoy the Biax Glass Sandwich construction (BGS), and those looking to get a grasp on the classic carving moves, pop and playing in small waves will relish in the sizes 100 and 110. More forgiving than the TE range, the Skate still proves to be a champion’s choice, and the new graphics of marine hues will have you standing out on the water in more ways than one.

Call it the revolution of the classic Freerider, the reinvention of the Funboard or just the Gecko-Concept. The wider and thinner Gecko is the most user-friendly and fun Freerideboard we’ve ever had in the line. Its success has grown the Gecko range to a total of seven exciting shapes. Just step on, hook in and enjoy yourself! The general concept behind the Gecko is wider, thinner and less volume. These attributes offer a great deal of balance and stability for easy gybing and a fun feeling beneath your feet. Regardless of your riding level, the Gecko will carry you through your Duck Gybes or have you planing in the footstraps for the first time. The evenly distributed volume and flat deck transition into thinned out rails. This provides a super stable and secure feel, also allowing you to dig deep through your carving manoeuvres. Whatever your style the Gecko will execute moves outstandingly. If you’re looking for a planing pioneer and a board that glides through your gybes, the Gecko is what you want! New stylish and streamlined graphics, multiple sizes and available in three technologies – High Resistance Skin, Bamboo Sandwich Light and Innegra Carbon LTD – there’s a Gecko to suit everyone!

For highly tuned racing machines with zero compromise, look no further. Scarily fast acceleration and insane top speeds are matched with full control at all times. The new 2016 Falcon Slalom has what it takes to dominate with ease. We’ve further tuned the Falcon range following the success of our PWA Worldcup Team, and have worked intensely on those key factors necessary to win races. With special focus on the mid – larger size models, we’ve improved the acceleration, top speeds and control. In addition to this, we’ve enhanced the overall ease of use and response when gybing. During an intense R&D process lasting several months, countless prototypes, meticulous testing and analysis, we reached our goal of a lower ride through step by step adjustments of mast and fin positions. Combined with a overall wider outline and a wider measurement of two foot off the tail, the early planing and acceleration is truly unbelievable. With a new cut out profile we’ve increased control – a major factor when competition is hot – so you can pass your rival’s and speed ahead even when it gets rough. A balance, stable and constant glide through gybes and lulls has been further improved thanks to the optimized volume flow. The bottom shape - a double concave V blending into a single concave through the mid section and an opening V in the tail – has been altered to deliver top acceleration and speed, along with a solid and engaging sensation when gybing.
Photo fish bowl diaries
The Falcon Slalom is available in the Team Edition (TE) Version of Full Biax Carbon Sandwich Light Finish construction – (112 to 152) and Biax Carbon Sandwich (90 & 99) – for crisp racing attributes, as well as in Biax Glass Sandwich Light Finish Version (99, 112 & 121) – including a high end CNC foiled G10 Choco fins fin and additional inside footstrap plugs for a more comfortable ride with the same hot-blooded shape.

The outstanding lightwind performance and accessible speed is generated by the precise mixture of scoop rocker line, a parallel rail shape and balanced volume distribution. A defined tail shape increases incredible acceleration output, while the double concave in the opening V towards the nose makes for the smoothest ride over the choppiest water. Strong, powerful rails towards the tail ensure this board soars upwind effortlessly, while the positioning of the mastbase increases stability and smooth laminar airflow. Constructed with our high end Biax Carbon Sandwich on both the top and bottom giving a super Light Finish to this finely tuned racing machine. Just step on and lead the pack!

Improved in lightwinds as well as in rough waters, the new Falcon Formula is equipped with super easy handling, so your focus stays on the race course at all times.

FALCON FORMULA 172
Evolved directly from Fanatic’s CAD developed new Falcon Slalom range is the 2016 Falcon Formula. Crazy upwind angles with easy handling and unlimited downwind speed, the combination of which is all that matters when the race is on!

This year’s bright and on trend graphics will make the young gun feel like one of the cool kids! Available in two sizes – 102 for the lighter, smaller rider, and the 120 for the taller, older kids – we’ve left no necessary characteristic uncovered with our focus being on user-friendly performance, and control in all weather conditions. The width of the Ripper provides the much sought after lightwind planing abilities and stable platform. With security taken care of, the design also ensures fast top speeds perfect for the adventurous thrill seeker, and those adults looking to exhibit their skills. The Softdeck is forgiving on the knees, certain to boost the confidence and bring more enjoyment to your junior. Offering up a variety of footstrap options and removable center fin not only reiterates the versatility of the Ripper, but also certifies that it is in fact a board any grom can grow and advance with. With 7 children between them Fanatic Brand Manager and former PWA rider Craig Gertenbach, Fanatic UK agent Nik Baker, and shaper Sebastian Wenzel have drawn on past experiences and needs of their younger riders, to develop a successful concept. The result, a perfect board / rig package to pass on the passion to the up-and-coming windsurfers. Make dreams come true with the Ripper, and deliver spirit with a touch of inspiration to the youngster with ambition.
