CONSTELLATION MIRRORS

The Constellation Mirrors draw inspiration from the mesmerizing beauty of deep space, recreating swirling constellations and nebulae in hand-mirrored glass. Each piece is crafted using a unique technique developed by Tom Palmer, which combines palladium, a rare precious metal, with water to create dynamic, ethereal compositions. These mirrored surfaces are further enhanced by alternating layers of colored translucent resin and additional hand-silvering, resulting in reflections that evoke the mystery of far-off worlds.

Customizable to complement individual spaces, the Constellation Mirrors allow for tailored compositions of silvering and resin tones. As standard, they are framed in circular steel frames with a depth of 4 inches, available in a range of hot-metal finishes such as pewter, bronze, and brass.

Custom depths and rectangular frames are also possible, enabling the creation of singular works, triptychs, or bespoke arrangements.

CLOUD MIRRORS

The Cloud Mirror is Palmer’s captivating interplay of light and reflection, where an ethereal cloud of reflective silver seems to float between sheets of glass and acrylic. Its unique composition creates a soft, diffused reflection while allowing light to pass through, subtly illuminating the wall behind.

Crafted with precision, the mirror features a sheet of toughened low-iron glass—chosen for its clarity and absence of green tint—hand-mirrored using liquid palladium, a rare precious metal. This is seamlessly paired with a thick slab of clear acrylic, creating a striking visual depth. Custom-made clasp mounts frame the piece, allowing it to be elegantly floatmounted off the wall.

Custom options are available for new commissions, including dimensions, the composition of the silvering, and finishes for the metal clasps, ensuring each Cloud Mirror is perfectly tailored to its space.

IRIS MIRRORS

The Iris Mirror series captures the interplay of light and color with exceptional craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from the vibrant hues of the world’s seas and the rich history of materials found along their shores. These artisanal mirrors transform light into dynamic, layered reflections that seem to move and evolve. The collection includes three distinct variations:

Ionian Iris Mirror: Inspired by the vivid blue hues of the Greek Ionian Sea, this mirror captures depth and vibrancy, evoking the piercing blues of its namesake waters.

Aegean Iris Mirror: Reflecting the lighter, more serene tones of the Aegean Sea, this variation offers a softer, calming palette.

Baltic Iris Mirror: Drawing from the rich, warm amber tones found around the Baltic Sea, this version exudes a sense of timeless warmth and earthy elegance.

Available in three standard diameters—39 inches, 47 inches, and 55 inches (example pictured is 47 inches)—the Iris Mirrors can also be tailored with custom dimensions, colors, and framing options, ensuring each piece is as unique as the space it inhabits.

MOON POOL SCREEN

The Moon Pool Screens are hand carved from London Plane wood, which is a very hard and stable wood. A beautiful natural grain known as lacewood, characteristic of London Plane wood, runs through each plank. These are finished in a signature blue/ black waxed finish which only adds to the tactility of this deeply textured piece.

The panels are framed individually with a steel edge frame, and are hung on a cleat system for easy installation and equal distribution of weight throughout the wall.

Custom options for these pieces include : dimensions, carving composition, surface color and finish, framing style and metal finish.

LUNAR SCREEN

The Lunar Screen is a versatile, handcrafted wood screen that merges traditional craftsmanship with modern design influences. Inspired by the Italian architect Carlo Scarpa, it reinterprets the Japanese folding screen with a Brutalist European aesthetic.

Crafted from American yellow pine panels, the screen is finished using Yakisugi, a traditional Japanese technique of scorching wood for preservation. Each panel is inset with a striking “moon” of burnt gesso—a process that creates a textured, molten surface marked with cracks and craters, resulting in a one-of-a-kind finish. Custom patinated brass sphere pin hinges and capping plates complete the design.

The Lunar Screen functions as both a room divider and a large-scale architectural mural, adding depth and character to any space.

ROCAILLE SCREEN

The Rocaille Screen is a hand-carved sycamore wall panel with a deeply textured surface, created through a precise carving process that layers flowing cuts over one another. Its slate-like finish enhances the panel’s tactility and adds a refined, natural aesthetic.

Designed for versatility, the Rocaille Screen can function as a decorative feature or an architectural facade. Its intricate patterns suggest movement, making it a striking addition to any interior or exterior space. This piece highlights Tom Palmer’s focus on texture and craftsmanship in design.

SCULPTURAL TABLES

Tom Palmer’s work in sculptural tables and benches redefines the boundaries between art, design, and advanced technology, with two standout collections—the Parabolic Void Series and the Archaic Series—showcasing his mastery of form and function.

THE PARABOLIC VOID SERIES

The Parabolic Void Series is distinguished by its flawless parabolic voids and flowing curves, creating visually striking tables and benches that merge artistry with cutting-edge techniques. These sculptural pieces begin as meticulously hand-crafted maquettes, which are then 3D scanned, digitally refined, and carved to perfection using a state-of-the-art 5-axis robotic arm.

This innovative process enables the creation of the Parabolic Void Series in a wide array of materials, including wood, stone, and cast bronze. The design possibilities are further expanded with virtually limitless options for colors and finishes. The digital component allows for precise customization, making it easy to scale each piece to specific dimensions or tailor it to individual aesthetic preferences.

SCULPTURAL TABLES

THE ARCHAIC SERIES

The Archaic Series serves as the negative mirror image of the Parabolic Void Series, offering a bold contrast while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. These tables and benches are cast from the opposing sides of the mould, resulting in inverted voids and contours that echo the parabolic design in reverse. Like their counterparts, these pieces are brought to life through the same meticulous process, combining handcrafted maquettes, 3D scanning, and robotic carving.

Crafted in a variety of materials such as wood, stone, and cast bronze, the Archaic Series also offers endless options for colors and finishes. Its digital creation process ensures adaptability, enabling each design to be scaled and customized to fit unique dimensions or stylistic needs. By blending traditional craftsmanship with advanced technology, the Archaic Series transforms functional furniture into versatile and visually compelling works of art.

FRACTURA SERIES

The Fractura Series by Tom Palmer is a collection of sculptural tables, artwork, and design objects, including vases and tabletop boxes, inspired by the raw beauty of quartz rock crystal. Each piece is crafted from a unique crystalline acrylic material developed after extensive research to capture the flawed, natural elegance of quartz in an innovative way.

The acrylic, made with a minimum of 70% recycled content, features optical clarity disrupted by reflective fractures and inclusions of precious metals such as Palladium and Platinum. These metals flow into the natural fissures during casting, creating silvery inclusions that enhance the crystalline aesthetic. The versatile material allows for a wide range of applications, from furniture and design objects to architectural installations.

Each piece in the Fractura Series offers a variety of finishing options, including high-polished surfaces, CNC-textured or matte sandblasted finishes, raw saw-cut edges, and hand-carved chipped details. The material can be machined, carved, and joined to create larger or more complex forms.

THE LITH SIDE TABLES, part of the series, consist of a trio of raw blocks of crystalline acrylic, offering sculptural accent pieces. Their design contrasts textured, rawmachined surfaces with perfectly polished faces, featuring arch details carved into the largest block. The Fractura Series exemplifies Palmer’s mastery of material innovation, blending raw beauty with refined craftsmanship to create striking, functional works of art.

DILUVIAL VESSELS

With their deeply primal aesthetic, the Diluvial Vessels evoke a sense of the ancient—half sculpted, half grown— reminiscent of artifacts shaped both by hand and larger forces of nature. Their raw, textured surfaces tell a story of creation through a distinctive excavation casting technique that balances intent with natural unpredictability.

Each vessel is cast in recycled pewter, using a method inspired by techniques passed down from Palmer’s grandfather. The form is created by digging into raw clay with bare hands to carve a void, into which molten pewter is poured. This dramatic process, where molten metal meets wet clay, results in volcanic textures and unique patterns that can not be replicated. The raw casts are then cleaned and polished to remove sharp edges, before being treated with layers of dark patina, allowing polished highlights to emerge and enhance their depth. Each piece is a singular creation, embodying the unpredictable beauty of its making.

Sizes range from 18 - 23 inches
