Accumulation tables ensure items such as pouches, cartons, cans, bottles, and similar products are conveyed continuously and precisely to the operator. Packers are never left waiting for product, since Wexxar/BEL conveyors allow for better and more consistent accumulation. Accumulation tables and product conveyors also facilitate more ergonomic packing.
Semi-Automatic and Fully-Automatic Case Formers improve efficiency and ergonomics for manual case packers. When a case is inserted, the Wexxar/BEL Semi-Automatic Case Former automatically folds all four bottom flaps, leaving the packers’ hands free to pack products. The tilting option further enhances the ergonomics of loading hard-to-pack products by tipping the case towards the operator, improving accessibility and case handling. Fully-Automatic case formers open and form cases with precision and deliver cases fully formed in position for packing.
Intermediary conveyors can be equipped with a loadcell and scale to allow room for a second or third packer to monitor or “Check Weigh” products being loaded before case sealing. This secondary packing platform is equipped with hold-down rollers to control the empty case where the product is being packed. Positioned between a former and sealer, it’s ideal for inspecting product for overages or shortages through the pre-sealing stage.
Wexxar/BEL case sealers are made from heavy duty, anodized aluminum frames, as well as plated and stainless components to maintain good appearance and durability. Automatic case sealers feature “Snap Folder”, an innovative top flap folding system that increases safety by eliminating the traditionally used kicker arm. All sealers feature Uni-Drive speed synchronized conveyor belts that keep cases square during taping.
