Engineers consider their profession to be the greatest of all as they’re responsible for almost everything that makes the world work. The sector is varied and includes electronics, mechanical, metals, transport and aerospace.

The automotive sector also covers many areas with the primary focus being, however, on whole vehicles, bodies, engines and components.

At Weymouth College you’ll have access to experienced teachers passionate about their subject together with modern facilities and workshops designed to help you develop the essential skills and knowledge needed for employment in today’s competitive market. 2019 saw the launch of the College’s Motor Vehicle Centre of Excellence – enabling us to develop hybrid and fully electric vehicle facilities.

In 2021 we opened our Centre of Excellence for Engineering featuring industry-standard machinery and a new digital media suite, allowing students to develop computer-aided-design and modelling skills using the most up-to-date equipment and software.
