DIGITAL SUPPORT DROP-IN

Mondays 1pm - 3pm, Thursdays 10am - 12pm at WHALE Arts

Fridays 10am - 12pm at Clovenstone Community Centre

A helping hand with all things digital. There is no need to book, pop along whenever you want and stay as long as you feel able. No set curriculum so raise the topics you are interested in learning! Equipment is provided but you are welcome to bring your own device

Theatre is coming back to Wester Hailes with a series of fun, welcoming taster sessions for adults interested in devising, collaborating and performing all whilst trying on costumes, playing with props and creating with fellow community members

SMARTCRAFT

Alternating Mondays 1pm - 3pm, 2 groups, each group meets once a fortnight. Visual arts & crafts in a supportive, social group for adults with additional needs.

A therapeutic art group for women with mental health problems Creative activity followed by a shared meal.

STITCH 'N' TIME

A lively & sociable sewing group making creative projects for the community

Who we are

WHALE Arts is a community-led arts charity and social enterprise set up by local people in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh in 1992. We connect our community with creative opportunities through the delivery of projects, programmes and events.

We aim to enhance people's health, wellbeing and happiness through arts, creativity and innovation and improve people's economic prospects through developing creative enterprise, learning and skills development opportunities.

What we do

Our programme is co-created with our community and is designed for people of all ages and backgrounds It includes visual art, craft, making, performance, digital skills, therapeutic groups, community wealth-building and enterprise, sensory creative play, outreach activities, school holiday programmes, trips, shows, exhibitions, community meals and more

On Foot:

We are at 30 Westburn Grove, opposite the Scotmid off Westburn Avenue By Bus:

33 stops right next to us 3, 21, 30, 400 - Stop at Westside Plaza. Follow the route on the map Walk until you reach Prospect Community Housing. We are opposite on Westburn Grove By Train:

Trains arrive at Wester Hailes train station. Follow the route on the map.
