Welcome The roots of Chesterton Humberts date back to the initial founding of Chesterton in 1805, at the time that Nelson won Trafalgar and Britain’s naval supremacy ruled for another 150 years. 37 years later Humberts was established just after Queen Victoria started her 61 years of rule. Recent history has been perhaps less enduring, having been punctuated by unpopular wars, political sleaze and sadly financial chaos, but the bringing together of Chesterton and Humberts in early 2009 does, we hope, represent the beginning of the next chapter in yet another 200 years of our history.
