elcome to the Cairngorms National Park and the June edition of What’s On, the free monthly events guide. To help you make the most of your time here we’ve put together an essential guide packed with what’s happening in the area. We’ve got some great ideas for things to do, places to see, where to eat and drink, and places to stay. The Rock and Road Bike Festival returns over the 12th-14th June, for a second year with a great programme of free demos, guided rides and workshops for all ages. There will be a Charity 100 year Commemorative Mail Coach Carriage Run from Kingussie to Tulloch Station near Roy Bridge on the 3rd & 4th, pulled by four teams of horses with community events along the way. Kingussie Bikefest returns on the 13th featuring the Clan Stunt Team, children’s fun races and a Cyclewild Scotland skills and coaching area, followed by the 26 mile Scottish Bikeathon on Sunday 14th. Join the celebrations in Grantown on Spey over the week of the 21st-28th, as they mark the 250th anniversary of its foundation as a town with a week-long festival packed with over one hundred events.
