Severn River Association’s New Executive Director
On March 1st, the Severn River Association officially welcomed Jesse Iliff as the organization’s new executive director, a position previously held by longtime director Tom Guay. Iliff comes to the SRA with extensive environmental, legal, and hands-on experience, having previously served as the waterkeeper for Arundel Rivers Federation. “It’s been an incredible privilege to serve as your South, West & Rhode Waterkeeper these past years,” Iliff shared. “[But] the Severn River is where I first felt the call to serve our planet. It’s where I learned to swim, to fish, to waterski, to sail, and where I learned that if you hit it just right jumping off a boat house, 9.8m/second squared can stretch to what seems like forever. Sweet Severn, I’m coming home!” To learn more, visit severnriver.org. 36
