HYATT & WEBER EXPANDS TO EASTERN SHORE & WELCOMES NEW PARTNER

SHERIFF ANNOUNCES NEW INITIATIVE & SMARTPHONE APP

Anne Arundel County Sheriff Jim Fredericks recently announced a new warrant initiative to make warrant service safer, improve transparency through public access to information, and ultimately reduce the number of outstanding warrants in Anne Arundel County. The new program is called Safe Surrender, and combines online availability of warrant information, with a safe way to serve those warrants. Sheriff Fredericks said, “This program has been in the works for close to a year and it could not come at a better time. With recent shootings and deaths involving the service of criminal warrants, increasing information to the public and creating a safer warrant service environment can potentially save the lives of citizens and law enforcement officers.” This program is one piece of the Sheriff’s vision to reduce outstanding warrants in the county. Another piece is the release of a new smartphone application. This app will serve as a modern way for the sheriff’s office to connect with Anne Arundel County residents and visitors, providing information quickly and efficiently to anyone with a smartphone. The Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office smartphone app was developed by TheSheriffApp.com, a division of OCV, LLC. The app offers quick access to items of public interest and is easy to use. The app is available for download for free in the Apple App Store and Google Play by searching “Anne Arundel Sheriff”. And the online warrant database is available through the Safe Surrender link at aacounty.org/sheriff.

Olympic Team Physician Joins ROSM Annapolis

Dr. Jim Lynch, a primary care sports medicine physician, has joined Regenerative Orthopedics and Sports Medicine of Annapolis after serving 31 years in Army medicine. He is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine and is Registered in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (RMSK). Dr. Lynch spent his career in Special Operations providing personalized care to sustain the optimal health and performance of elite athletes. He is an expert in innovative non-surgical treatments for musculoskeletal conditions and is a pioneer in the use of stellate ganglion block (SGB) to treat post-traumatic stress (PTSD) symptoms. A U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) physician, Dr. Lynch has supported Team USA in training and international competitions since 2011, including multiple World Swimming Championships and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. Dr. Lynch has been selected again to serve as USA Swimming Team Physician for the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
