Advanced illness care decisions are overwhelming.

Will another round of chemo really help? Is there a way I can help mom feel comfortable? How long can I live with COPD? Can I avoid another visit to the emergency room?

But you do have a choice.

Your decisions can be made easier when you choose Hospice of the Chesapeake. We are your hometown advanced illness care team. With our help, you and your family can choose what type of care you receive, when you receive care, and where you receive it.

Our supportive care team works with your specialists to provide an extra layer of support. Our experts offer information and guidance for making complex medical decisions. We focus on reducing the symptoms, pain and stress caused by serious illness. It is appropriate at any age or stage of illness and can be provided alongside curative treatment.

Our grief support is available to anyone in our community who is grieving the loss of a loved one, regardless of their relationship to hospice or the type of loss.

Now caring for people in Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles and Prince George’s counties, we are Maryland’s largest independent nonprofit hospice organization. We have served our community and your family and friends for over 40 years.

Supportive care. Hospice care. Grief care. We are there when you need us.

When a cure is no longer possible or when the prognosis is six months or less, our hospice team offers various levels of care for patients to manage their pain and symptoms with comfort and dignity while living life to the fullest extent possible.
